Outside of the ones I post (which I still like) I've also grown fond of the birgs from Iguanodon't and some of the designs (gas giants, flyers, rads) from Cree8ball's series

The birgs have a great fusion of traits from invertebrates and non-inverts while having this believable anatomy that's complimented by a lot of good visual worldbuilding. The ayys from the garden have a lot of the same appeal while going in even wilder directions. While LL's ayys fit my taste, too, they just need more material to build them up. Which isn't too bad. That and they need to upload their other worldbuilding to their site already.

The problem with Helldivers in my personal opinion is that it is so obnoxiously satirical and dumb (like seriously the creators of the game have gotten so hamfisted with it, it’s legitimate cornball shit). And on that note, One major reason why I dislike the Federation of Super Earth is that compared to other “Fanatic Xenophobe + Militarist” human civilizations, their reasoning and motives for why they hate aliens and are so hellbent on conquest is lame. Its just corposhit, everything you do in that game is basically to enrich Space Wall Street and the Megacorps further, its the same reason why the RDA in the Avatar movies are frankly so lame and unlikable as a faction (not the individuals that work for RDA tho, Quarich was pretty cool). What I'm trying to say is that Helldivers is a fun game, but as a setting and fandom it really is pretty lame and annoying (Lots of good art tho). Like, It has the totally original Federation of Super Earth (not based on Verhoeven's fanfic movie of the book at all), the Originalinids, very different from Tyranids, Gylphids, or any other space bug. The Illuminate are a Protos-like but squid, and the Automations while being the most unique faction in terms of concept, design, and narrative are ultimately just Skynet but with communist aesthetics.

Nor Crystal Tears (Alan Dean Foster) is an interesting book about first contact with a bug alien species from the perspective of one of the bug aliens. Those Thranx are pretty prominent in the Humanx Commonwealth series in general.

Idea for a silicon lifeform babe that won't have you humping onto literal rock:

A white, near featureless species whose body is akin to non-newtonian puddy - soft on a slow touch, hard at sudden force. They aren't an amorphous species, they do have a structure beneath them, but they can shift parts and proportions. The standard form they take is a three-legged, four-armed shape with a head that has two bent black lines that act as eyes.

The internal structure is made with a strange strand that acts like an endoskeleton. Think a string that acts as a basis of the shape and movement. It moves and the body follow, being push instead of pulled.
Many of them have such control over it that that can shift anatomy for particular jobs. Only to degree though. They can turn the third leg into a U-ring around their waist but not completely get of it.
