I was a big fan of the original urban demons. I finally got around to playing the remake this weekend. Nergal has somehow gotten worse at making games. This is unreal.
The original game had a weird stutter. That’s back. I don’t even know that rpgm MV was capable of running so shit. There are so many cases where a characters model shows up in two places at once because he couldn’t figure out how to restrict a character model appearing only on certain days or conditions. There is almost no ambient dialogue for any characters. The points you get to show progression with each girls are sometimes just forgotten about. I’m not even bitching that there’s not as much content as the original. Thats fine. But I waited several updates specifically for the kinks to ironed out and im shocked the game has as many issues (in its structure, not content mind you) as a test build.
I loved urban demons. I loved a zombie life. I thought kingdom of subversion was alright but had way too much furry content. I have tried playing his space game 5 different updates and every time the game soft locked in an error or crashed and I gave up.

The real issue isn't the amount of characters itself but that he has no idea how to structure scenes and dialogue properly. People enter and leave conversations without any sort of transition and constantly name drop others who weren't even talked about and aren't present. Really I think my issue is that what I am looking for is basically another path, where you do the coup but keep Cass alive and on a short leash, where you actually kill the king, where you rule directly as a tyrant. It could fall into a bad guy/villain route but with the option to be kind occasionally. The routes that are already there are fine but it just isn't what I would do if I were the mc, if you get what I mean. Also I'm not really confident in any of the stories getting wrapped up sufficiently based on the sheer amount of love interests and minor threads all over the place.
