Lol one time it rained and there were so many covering every square inch of my the sidewalks of my university campus it was IMPOSSIBLE to not step on some. Everyone was trying their best not to because it's A) Gross or B) Needlessly Violent but you literally could not step anywhere. I don't know what set of natural phenomena coincided to cause the great worm holocaust but I've never seen it that bad since.
