/an/ at least has always been like this even when it was different, I learned very early the key to enjoying this board is to click the pictures but don't read the posts. /diy/ was super friendly for the first few years, those goofy bastards spelled worse than this board did, which is saying something, but almost all the posts had positive energy. /an/ was always cranky misanthropes heckling each other.
