they look different but seem to be more or less the same.
have u checked out lainchan yet? or do u not have something that can connect via ipv6
>>

the playlists are different but the site & setup looks pretty much the same
nowhere.moe had multiple playlists i think
>have u checked out lainchan yet? or do u not have something that can connect via ipv6
i have not
idk much about ipv6 or how to configure these things manually, i bet it's straightforward though?
>>

ahh I see, yeah I thought it might have different playlists from looking at them but didn't take the time to see if all the tracks are the same.

I honestly have no idea, I've just been using my phone because that uses it by default. idek if my puter can use ipv6 as its fucking ancient :/

>i sometimes go on neocities or other more obscure blogs & look for decorative gifs, there are some gems in there
yw. I sometimes consider making a 90s/2000s style website and putting it on Neocities, seems like the perfect place for it.

i've been pretty sedentary for around 5 years, at least compared to when i was younger, i always forget but that probably has something to do with irregular sleep
manual labor & living in a tent, interesting thing to picture

>ive been pretty sedetary
yeah its hard to be particularly active as a neet. maybe try do some more stuff outdoors even if its also pretty sedetary like fishing (for exampley )you will tire yourself out a lot more standing around with a fishing rod than sitting at a desk.

It's embarassing but...
Because i then have to wake up early, go to college, stay there for hours, etc, i always end up feeling like i didnt enjoy my time before going to sleep, especially since i slept through today's afternoon
It's really stupid i know, it does not happen that often but It's really stupid it happens at all, i have the mentality of a child sometimes, i always end up learning in the hard way lmao
I'll sleep soon and just drink two cups of coffee once i wake up or so

I always wonder how they, tojo and hirohito would react to anime
It actually makes me pretty sad that there's no evidence that hirohito ever watched anime considering he died in 1989, there was already a lot of stuff by then

if hirohito watched it he would've kept it very private, it'd be very improper for an emperor to be seen as someone who watches cartoons xD

believe it or not, there are some pretty popular rumours that he was a disney fan, as funny as it sounds xD
he visited disneyland in 1975 and was gifted a mickey's watch, which he apparently wore all the time. there are also some fairly popular claims that he was even buried with it, but the imperial palace never confirmed it.
unfortunately, the imperial palace keeps almost everything about the royal family extremely private, but still, just the fact that he visited disney and supposedly wore the watch all the time is pretty hilarious
if he was indeed a disney fan then i can imagine he enjoying some ghibli movies as well
>being a monarch but pretty much only symbolically must be boring as fuck
it's actually weird how chill he was, he spent most of his time studying marine biology in his personal lab and even published some articles on it
he probably hated the stress he had "ruling" that country during ww2

>marine biology
whoa that's pretty cool. marine biology is so interesting. I wanted to study it after highschool but id fucked up my biology classes.because I had beef with the teacher.

I really like living in scotland though so its not a huge deal as long as I can travel and see the world a bit I don't need to move country.

some stuff are pretty crazy when you think about it, for example, most regular japanese people only got to hear his voice when he announced japan's surrender in the radio.
millions died for him and his honor only to regular people hear his voice when announcing defeat, that must've crushed their national spirit so much at the time that it's genuinely depressing to think about it.

I've noticed that when I wake up then that's also about the same time when you go to bed, lol.
I remember my NEET days, a long time ago back in my home country. Lived in the nights mostly. Might as well, a nice bonus was not having to interact with normalfags.
Now, here in Denmark, I'm working full-time, with an early start. Add a long commute and that's why I have to wake up 4 o'clock in the morning. And I go to bed early, else I would not be able to keep this up.
This routine drags on in the weekends as well. Even without an alarm I usually wake up at like 5 o'clock.
Gradually I've shifted to being a morning person, but I do miss being a night owl.
I also think that work + commuting takes up way too much of my day, I don't get to do a lot of stuff in my free time, most of it I'm using on resting anyways, as my job is very demanding, both physically and mentally. If I could NEET, I would. But I'm a white foreigner. Which puts me in this weird grey area where I don't have full access to all the shit the natives have, but I'm not enough of a foreigner either to get the gibs that thirdies get. So being a wagie it is. At least the wages in this country are alright, it's nice to not have financial problems. I live cheap as hell too as I'm not much of a consoomer and don't socialize very often.

Good morning to the Comfy thread. As a lyric in an EBM album I listened to in 2015 said. "Waiting for the bombs to hit but I don't really give a shit". I have nothing planned today and nothing really interesting to share. I've been behind on my comms for a little bit but I'm too lazy to solve that today.
>>24064163
I refuse to become a NEET. If my life isn't moving then I feel like I've bent the knee and let myself die, same reason I won't ever retire. I do teaching and sell art online so I've always got work I can be doing. Someone always wants to goon at a 50ft tall anime girl from a series I'm too old to even know anymore. I do struggle to find that Zen with work. I tend to over-work and make myself depressed, and then be too tired to have fun and relax, I'm still working on finding that Zen.
>>
>>24064499
>I do teaching and sell art online
Well yeah but those are things you really like to do. It's like a hobby but you get paid for it. Which I applaud and I'm happy for you.
I on the other hand have no true artistic talent and I'm too retarded to sell shit online. I do warehousing. Intense stuff, we're chronically understaffed. I'm fucking smashed when I get home. If it wasn't for the money it's something I could do without. What I do for a living is not exactly a hobby, I just happen to be good at it. Those are two different things.

>even just the idea of surrendering mustve really fucked with most peoples heads
i know there were even some generals who attempted a coup after the surrender was announced
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ky%C5%ABj%C5%8D_incident
many generals also committed suicide, some even went as far as to commit seppuku.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takijir%C5%8D_%C5%8Cnishi
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsuru_Ushijima

in places like okinawa, there were thousands of civilians who committed suicide out of fear of the americans, that happened some time before the war actually ended, but still

i actually prefer to wake up around 4-6am and have an early night like you just my sleep sometimes ends up liek this, usually I can fix it but for some reason its just not cooperating and I'm unable to by staying up or trying to sleep earlier so I'm just leaving it be untill it sorts itself out instead of stressing over it.
there's some good things to be said about having a physically demanding job like you won't have issues with your sleep and lots of exersize but yeah pretty much everything else about them sucks. I hope you manage to get neetbux or some other form of gubbernment gibs eventually. is it a matter of not being a full citizen or is it just because you are white?

I'm not suprised they attempted a coup xD but i do think hiro made the right call and surrendering saved a lot of lives.
id heard about the sepukku and mass suicides, it shows quite clearly that hirohito truly just wanted to save lives when he surrendered because he didn't just order everyone to kill themselves.
>>24061622
yeah the fire bombings were really fucked up, I think we discussed the bat bombs before and stuff.
I've even heard theories that the nuke thing was just a cover story the americans came up with to make themselves seem less monstrous and they just dropped millions of incendiaries in a very short space of time. theres no real merit to it but it does kinda touch on the fact that the whole nuke thing overshadows the true atrocities.

well at that point there was truly nothing they could do.
if it were for the high ranking generals, the japanese would truly just fight until the last one.
they tried developing tons of projects to attack america but most of them were cancelled by early 1945.
the most they did was invading and capturing some alaskan islands, launching incendiary balloons in oregon and making a submarine attack targetting the bay of san francisco.
their most insane plan was operation PX in my opinion, it consisted of spreading diseases such as the bubonic plague and cholera through planes.

yes, the shame of surrendering to the enemy was worse than the pain of death.

of course. one of the most horrifying things about the atomic bombings is that people who were burning alive jumped into rivers to escape the heat, but many of them still died from their burns and injuries and some rivers became completely full with bodies.

I can do better than that sketch. My art process is really stupid. I load Garry's Mod, spawn ragdolls of Uni from Neptunia in a Swimsuit, pose with the ragdoll mover and set up the camera. That screenshot then goes into Fire Alpaca where I draw boxes and reference lines around it. And then I sketch out the character I want, posing ect. I learned the process from some Newgrounds artist in 2012 and it saved my ass every time.

Good evening comfy Anons. I've been cleaning and coding today, the cleaning is over, now I can comfy on the thread for the rest of the day.
I've been a lot more hungry for the last month, for lunch I make pasta and I used two packets instead of one. Firstly, holy fuck doing that makes it so hot, I burned my mouth a little trying to eat that, the amount of water I had to use I think also made the sauce look ugly. Secondly, I ate the entire bowl 90 minutes ago and I'm already starting to want snacks again. I thought I wouldn't be able to eat it all and if I did I wouldn't be hungry till 6pm. My appetite is rapidly changing and I can't fix it.
I got my BMI checked recently and it said I was at risk of becoming underweight so that was funny. I don't think they work on women, i asked a friend and she falls into under weight but has clear body fat too. Although I exercise everyday and do a lot of upper body and she doesn't, so I have muscle definition she doesn't by a lot.
I decided to just own it last night. So I guess I'm built like pic related now. It's worryingly close to how my body looks right now I think the artist time traveled to find me. So that's my useless blog of the week, but this is the only thread I think I could tell that and not got a bunch of angry (you)s.

good evening miss spain. I hope the pasta was yummy, what sauce did you have with it? if you find your appetite is increasing but eating more leaves you still hungry it could be some sort of mild deficiency in vitamins or minerals so make sure u suppliment those and try to eat some extra protein as it keeps you fuller for longer.
you are right that BMI charts are sometimes a bit inaccurate for women, its best to just not worry about BMI if you are on the lower end on the scale. women need about 20% total body fat for their body to function properly so it would become obvious very quickly if you got too skinny. stuff like feeling cold all the time, low blood pressure, irregular/lack of menstruation.
owning it is the best way forwards anyway and the drawing u posted is still skinny just not exessively so.

I do wonder how they do it, though. Working full-time but then also maintaining loads of contacts and events and going to birthdays like every other week....
I know that extroverts -- which a lot of them are -- get their energy from social stuff, but they really never seem to get tired of it, do they? They just coast through most shit almost on auto-pilot.

often they don't really cope with it at all and have to resort to drugs/drink. even extroverts need alone time and self care, the only reason they spend their time in nonstop social interactions is because they don't even realize they have a choice and are mindless slaves to other peoples expectations, if they realised they didn't have to do this shit they wouldn't be normalfags.
and yeah they are just on autopilot 99% of the time which is why even the smartest normalfags seem so fucking stupid

You can get milk, water and butter and cook the pasta in that, it's a really nice combination. It might be a vitamin thing. I've had a few people suggest it's hormones. Sadly, I didn't consider what 400mls of milk would do to me, and now I can't eat dinner because the dairy is killing me. Now I'm hungry and unable to eat. I am not doing that with real dairy again. I don't think I'd call the drawing or myself skinny, there's still a fair amount of extra belly fat. And the pose has her bending back, and that would stretch it somewhat and make it flatter. But that's me. You're very kind it means a lot.

It could just as easily be hormones but if it sticks around consistently its maybe not.
I've heard of people making pasta like that but not tried it myself, ill have to give it a go some time :)
have you ever considered trying to regain lactose tolerance? I used to be so lactose intolerant that 1 sip of milk would have me alternating between being doubled over in pain and running to the bathroom every 10 mins. but i managed to become tolerant to milk and now drink at least a pint a day without issue. all I did was drink a bunch of milk and deal with the pain, it was suprisingly easy :) first 3 days was kinda rough but I think it was worth it.
I guess yeah the bending back would make the belly seem flatter but she's still not even chubby just not super skinny, the fat distribution goes a little more towards the belly but its not an unhealthy or unappealing amount of fat.

if it was an allergy it would have got worse and the symptoms would change. some people are just literally incapable of digesting lactose so that's probably it. I had lost my lactose tolerance I just got it back, creating a tolerance in someone who cannot produce the lactase enzyme at all is probably a lot harder.
I've never thought of myself as "body positive" lol I just dont think a little bit of a belly is a big deal.

I do Judo and Aikido. Very similar arts with a lot of upper body work. I thought it looked fun and now I still do it. Makoto in Sailor Moon does a Judo esque style of Martial Arts sometimes, but that show doesn't have a focus on that. I'd love Makoto a lot more if they explored that more. I like Usagi because she's very flawed and it makes me feel less bad about also having those same flaws. The strangest part about teaching is having to act adult and mature knowing when you get home you're eating an ice cream tub, in your pajamas while watching magical girl shows.

hmm interesting. I'm sure elements of it work I was just under the impression that on its own it only works against an opponent who is also doing only aikido so if you tried to use it against someone who boxes or whatever you are pretty much fucked.
>>
>>24070203
that's more or less true, and the demonstrations of one dude ragdolling 12 people repeatedly are like that
but i think it would work particularly well against untrained opponents, or less conservative ones, which could be common in self defense situations
it was very hard for me not to lose my balance, even during slow demonstrations
a lot of the techniques rely on creating/using the other person's momentum
the joint manipulation can be used to get an opponent moving in a certain direction if you manage to get ahold of their arm/wrist
using the opponent's momentum & sense of balance against them by getting them to over-correct was common too (this is partly some throws are done across big curve shapes), and taking advantage of other reflexes seemed to come very naturally
i'm not writing very well lol
shouldn't need this many words & it might be too vague
the person who showed me was a brown belt taught by this little old native american dude, there were a few local prison guards in his class
he was cool but i think he developed dementia in the past several years, sadly

yeah I could see it working well on someone with no training especially if they just kept angrily rushing at you and didnt try to manage distance.
you are writing perfectly fine and its not vague, its a pretty good explaination.
its interesting that prison gaurds were doing it, id imagine getting good at redirecting momentum would be very handy in that job and nightsticks + pepper spray would cover for any deficiencies that the discipline has.

>ill maybe have to start buying gold
Better wait with that for a bit. The price of gold was recently at record high and it's still kinda high. What you want is to buy when there's a dip.
>because they don't let you to get neetbux if u have over a certain amount in savings
But yeah a good move if you want to have wealth but not on paper. Invest in a good safe, though.

I dont have anywhere near enough money to need to buy any yet so i can wait quite a bit. it'd probably be simpler to buy crypto but that's too volatile to bet my life long dream on so ill probably stick with metals and a good safe.

https://ambergriscaye.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/forum_summary.html
forum for a small island in belize
my mom lived there when she was young, my grandfather built one of the first hotels there but had to flee back to the US, he died when i was 3
i meant to post the link in that osaka thread if it was still up
there are posts going back a long time, mildly interesting

I think you may have posted this before? possibly ages ago. I really miss everything having its own forum it was so much better than plebbit and social media.
have u ever been to this island? seems like a nice place.
have you ever smelled ambergris? its weird that whale vomit smells so nice xD

i think i did, i don't remember posting the forum but maybe
>I really miss everything having its own forum it was so much better than plebbit and social media.
yeah :/
seems like a lot of them still exist, but the more active ones tend to be gated, sometimes even paywalled
seems like people still use that linked one, but i didn't check how active really
>have u ever been to this island? seems like a nice place.
i have not, i wish..
i think my grandpa wanted to have his ashes scattered there but i can't remember for sure
my mom said it used to be way less developed than it is now, there were only three paved roads in the biggest town on the island & everyone walked around barefoot, also the water used to be way more clear
she said there was a guy who had worked on the manhattan project living as a recluse in the uninhabited part of the island, his wife would sometimes come into town to get groceries but she never saw him
idk how she knew about it or if it was true but interesting story
>have you ever smelled ambergris? its weird that whale vomit smells so nice xD
o.o
i have not, i didn't know what the word meant actually lol
you've smelled it?

I recognize the forum so you mustve.
yeah most of these niche forums either died or became closed communites which is sad as i used to spend a lot of time on random ones.
>a guy who worked on the manhattan project living on the island
that's pretty crazy. its probably true, hard to keep secrets when living on an island so I'm not suprised locals knew who he was.
>you've smelled it
yeah i actually have a small chunk a friend gave me. they bought a big chunk of it at a bazaar in morocco. kinda looks like amphetamine paste xD
check ur emails
