All 97% of all fees generated by the Hyperliquid exchange is used to buy HYPE tokens and gets sent to burn address.
$1.3 Billion is fees so far. All on chain.

Yes. Hype is used as gas on the HyperEVM chain.
There are two chains in Hyperliquid ecosystem.
HyperCore - trading engine. No gas needed. Pay with trading fees which is used to buy and burn HYPE.
HyperEVM - smart-contract layer. HYPE used as bas.

I was thinking about grabbing a bag in late Jan and then it pumped again. Serves me right for wanting to buy this under 20 burgerbux

Same, bro. I just hold btc and trade on hyperliquid. I wanted to get myself a good back of hype, it's the best project out there and the team are not niggers. They want hype to go up. This weekends pump is because everybody is using it to trade crypto and commodities.
One of the few chains that is actually used. No marketing, no bullshit kantian philosophy or any kind of german idealism talk like Sergey or Charles hoskinson

>hurr im not going to buy this multi-billion marketcap token because [insert random person i dont like] is in it!!!
You are thinking like a pleb here and will simply miss out on profits this way.

I only have 250 hype and refuse to buy up here. It has to retrace back to the low 20's at some point.
Also shilling hype here is a waste. This entire board is so underwater on their bags they're in the mariana trenches.

I said this to myself earlier this year but Jeff and Vitalik are truly the last 2 people in this entire fucking space that still hasn't soul their souls yet

So, the gas is, on a direct level paid in USDC. This is why you one-time sign, and can trade without having to sign each time, unlike GMX. Your trading fees are gas.
These trading fees are used to buy & burn hype. That's why the exchange is a fee collecting engine, and purchasing a share in said engine is by buying hype, which also serves as governance.
Also /biz/ is retarded these days, one-shotted by chainlink and not knowing about anything outside of the cult bubble.
