Youd be richer if you just made everything from scratch. Like you make a hammer from scratch then you sell that shit for $7 a piece and buy equipment to stamp forks and shit then sell those. Infinite money glitch.

Production costs time, and learning to be faster costs time. If you spent 30 minutes making that hammer to sell for $7, an hour of your time is worth $14.
A tremendous amount of time and energy goes into making production efficient.
Making things from scratch—what is called "industrial production"—is not impossible, but takes like this are a dunning-kruger fantasy.

Stupid image, OP. Linux has saved me an enormous amount of time over the years.
As an example, I was forced by my employer to use MS-Word for a particular document. I made one change to one paragraph and suddenly MS-Word LOST ALL THE PARAGRAPH FORMATTING FOR THE ENTIRE DOCUMENT. It took me nearly two hours to reformat the entire fucking thing, and I came close to missing a deadline because of it.
Not my fault, just a typical bug in MS-Word. It even tried to do the same thing again while I was fixing everything, but I was saving the document after literally every single step of the fix so that I wouldn't lose another two hours.
Not even getting into how I can just type a long command line to organize a file full of data, instead of having to import it as a CSV into MS-Excel, then jump through ridiculous hoops while dodging more bugs just to extract information.

How does Linux take extra time?
There was maybe an hour of time in setup and now Microsoft can't spy on me and steal all my data.
I will also get my hour back eventually because i don't have to deal with endless updates.
Made the switch a month and a half ago because of copilot.

I'm using a normie tier silverlight distro now on my laptop and it mogs the fuck out of my much higher powered windows machine that I only use for vidya. And even the vidya running on wine on said laptop is basically running at 90% of the desktop unless it needs MOAR GPU cores for a render. It used to be a meme that windows was worse, but with ms shitting the street so hard with 10 and 11, it really is worse in every way minus network effect

When I first switched to Linux, the learning curve took me a while. Not necessarily because it's more complicated, it's just different. But in the long run it wasn't the time saving that mattered to me, it was the psychological toll that using Windows takes, and constantly getting frustrated by endless enshittification.
