>but did you show up early?
>but did you stay late
>did you take action in your discretionary time to expand upon your career related skill set
>you know real success is what we do off the clock
I just quit a job like this. Gonna start a new career with a military contractor, and boy was now a good time to hop aboard. Unironically thank you, Israel.

As a McManager, and (real)job manager in my years managing people, i was trained by boomer managers to never give wagies perfect scores.
They told me "Only give a 4/5 or 8 - 9/10 at most, give them something to improve on, even your best workers" while also "saving" money on raises and bonuses (we take the bigger check)
I did this strategy, and lost all my best wagies the first two times around. Wagies can smell bullshit. Give them their fucking money
Also, im not manager anymore, if you got decent people who are not niggers, its easy, but most people are fucking brain dead

I got awards, worked 18hr days sometimes. I make 6figs. They gave me $400 bonus and a 2% raise. They canceled DEI hired me and another white guy got rid of the some of women and africanz. Last time we launched a rocket of our own was 2011. Keep getting harrased because of issues with systems. I look at the report date of these items, are years before I was hired. We are never going back to the moon.

I'm having my annual check up with the boss tomorrow, I was hopeful for a 4/5 because I made a few very important discoveries that launched a new project, but I'm thinking I'm too autistic to receive it. Hopefully I'll at least get another 20%+ cash bonus tho

yeah that's basically what it's for. bad reviews is a paper trail that supports your firing. if a fired employee filed a lawsuit then HR can point to a record of bad performance etc.
also it sets the bucketing for raises. i got 2.75% with a 4/5 rating. a 5/5 rating would be like 3.00%. a 3/5 rating would be 2.50%. etc.

it's not a meme.
