n00b getting in crypto for the first time. Way late I know but I never had money before.

Anyway, how are these as far as software wallets go for babby's first generic, multicoin wallets? Was drawn to these because they are open source apparently, so a reduced chance of fuckery. I might move on to hardware wallets in the future, but it's all a bit overwhelming, I want to start with basic software wallets. So how are these two?

Just hold on well established exchanges. There's staking, no risk of your funds being misdirected during transfer, and they're about as trustworthy as a bank. You'd need to sell there anyway.

bank accounts are guaranteed to a certain degree at least if they lose money in a hack or if the bank fails. no such guarantee for holdings on a crypto exchange, if it folds tomorrow, not a single penny of compensation.
