Hyatt Regency O’Hare & Donald E Stephens Convention Center
Who are you planning to cosplay as at the event?
What are you hoping to see or experience during the convention?
Where do you plan to spend most of your time at the con?
When are you planning to head to the convention?
Are you going alone or with a group?

oh, then they'll never be a kopf con, cause kopf cons are fucking awful with the drama that happens every year at them.
this year was probably my last one cause it was super shitty. Panels weren't very good or interesting, the floor wasnt that good, and nothing really enticed me like last year.
Still probably gonna go to CAD though, but yeah i'll just go to AX or something instead of Midwest

we excited?
I hope that pushy faggot bookseller isn't back this year. Dude literally pushed a stack of meditation books on me after I told him no and was just looking, talking about his weird indian guru and shit.
I straight up mentioned his ass on the "response form" they emailed cause fuck him.

>What happened to Ramencon?
They moved from Merrillville, IN (a relatively short drive from IL) to South Bend, IN (like 2 hours from IL) and lost almost the entire IL crowd. The numbers they brought in from the new area didn't make up for it. Dunno about this year's event but last year's was literally crowdfunded. They're on life support. All because they chose to move further from IL and not closer to it.

Oh I knew about the move, I saw the last one that was actually held in Merrillville. DESU I kind of figured it would start to die, not a lot of people are going to take the train to south bend. They just need enough people to convince them to move it to at least hammond.

Hammond would have been based. Anywhere west of Merrillville would have been based. But no. And it ain't worth getting a hotel room for. It's a fucking ghost town, maybe a few hundred people; the facility is too big for the event, it looks depressingly vacant in the main hall. My fiancée and I are cosplaying at Anime Magic as the main couple from Hi Score Girl, we're not expecting anyone to recognize the series and I'm sure that if we went to Ramencon (not likely, ever again, I fucking hate driving downtown South Bend) no one would, either.
Still, really looking forward to magic. Maybe 3000+ people, it reminds me of the good old days of ACen before they became a 30,000+ attendee circus. (same hotel as ACen, even; just the right amount of attendees)

Magic is fun and so is ACEN.
I find smaller chicago cons like CAD and Magic are fun because they aren't huffing their own farts and allow wild panels.
ACEN is fun too, but really only because it's a 24 hour con that brings a FUCKTON of fandoms together like Vtubers, Kpop, Jpop and other things, not just anime.

What activities are gulls doing? Any fun plans for this con?

>Vtuber guests
FUCKING FINALLY CHICAGO GETS SOMETHING, and 4 of them are actually relevant in the indie scene holy fuck.
Now we just need actual proper M&G's in our cons cause it's disgraceful that every mid-level con everywhere else gets at least 3 vtubers but we can't get shit.

I will always give that little shit credit, because I admire his singleminded determination. Fifteen years ago I told him to GTFO of my dept at AI, and lo, he actually did go build his own theme park with blackjack and hookers.

Out of all the cons run by Kopf, you manage to get the single one that isn’t kek
>>10958730
You’re retarded there was a Fan Expo thread no one cared about it

Magic was a solid 8-9/10 con for me.
Panels were fucking great, Arcade was expanded, more Artists in the Alley, and everyone's vibes were immaculate and fun as hell.
Easily btfo'd Midwest, Kopf left crying and shitting once again.
My only real complaint is that the fucking panel list on guide book was so shitty. Some were double booked rooms for the EXACT SAME TIME, other panel hosts didn't show up, and even more damning is half the ones that didnt show up tried to cancel like 2 weeks before the con and never got a response...
I don't know if Guidebook can even be updated after it's posted but holy shit dude that was abyssmal.
Also the "Leon Bingo Night" host was talking shit about other peoples panels, and I genuinely think that guy is a douchebag. Don't put down another persons panel cause you have a small dick bro, ESPECIALLY at a con where 90% of us are straight losers. That's just retarded behavior that is more appealing at a frat house than it is a con.

Your all losers. Dog shit fucking complainers about the con scene is actually crazy. Grow up and have fun for what the con scene is actually about instead of fucking complaining like the children you all are. Its fucking pathetic actually. Going to con scenes to cause trouble is fucking childish

The purpose of a system is what it does anon, and the purpose of the Chicago scene logically will be....

>but I still want to see that uma orgy pics
You can see that everyday over at every high-profile bet on Polymarket! ^.^ Although I'd consider that more of a circle-jerk than an orgy though. Tomato potato.

It's some of the Midwest freaks that attend and won't stfu about each other. The convention itself isn't terrible but it's definitely struggling. They have grown over the years and are making better use of the space they have now, but they keep having scheduling and communication issues year after year— and the cosplay contest has has issues for the last couple. It's a decent convention but because of where it's located some very vocal shitty people who love to talk crap about each other attend

You expected this thread to simply die out and fall off the catalog..., but it was I, DIO!
Not today anonbros! Not today, especially considering the *ahem, cough cough* "rumblings" of today.
