It seems like anything taco bell makes you should be able to make camping without lettuce
But even iceberg lettuce should last a couple days un refrigerated

I'll never get how retarded humans are with food
like people still struggling with the whole eat less move more concept
that and paying a retarded amount of money on protein powders and infusions
when you can just idk eat eggs cheese pork rinds beans nuts meats ect
like there's a ton of delicious shit out there packed full of protein so dont be wasting your money on dumb bullshit
like unless you're an athlete trying to cut weight you shouldn't be drinking whey
instead focus on replacing bullshit goysloppa with high protien high filling foods that wont fuck you up

god i hope you're not fat
if you are you should be ashamed of where this post is coming from
>why don't drug addicts just stop doing drugs
anon im not talking about addiction
im talking about absolute retards falling for absolute bullshit
instead of tackling the problem at hand there addiction and lack of will
>>
>>21971429
I dont think you understand a single thing about willpower. I bet you have never had a real addiction in your life. You just talk like someone with no experience.
And no I am in great shape. But its not because I have some superior willpower to anyone else. I have constructed my life in a way that makes it easy for me to not be a fat ass. And most fats could probably do the same as me but they are stuck in this loop of hunger and blood sugar levels and fatigue etc. There should be something like rehab for fat people IMO. It really is pretty much the same thing as with drugs. There are drug addicts who are smarter than me I have no doubt about it.

Depends a bit on whether I go camping (usually fishing) or hiking.
For camping I'll focus on 2-pot dishes: soak/boil beans/pasta/rice with a quick sauce: canned tomatoes, tuna, dried herbs, capers, olives, miso paste, anchovies. As few liquids in bottles as possible (passata, olive oil etc).
When I go hiking I just try to get from point A to point B and back. Dried fruit and nuts, aged cheese with a cooling element, a chunk of bread cooked in a wood fire oven, honey or marmalade.

>I dont think you understand a single thing about willpower. I bet you have never had a real addiction in your life. You just talk like someone with no experience.
False i have had many addiction physical and mental and i have also set myself up in ways to deal with them but that takes will power quitting a bad habit requires will power everything does to some degree
my complaint is people ignore the you need to move more and eat less healthy fact to the "preferable" "lazy" if you just complete change your life style and diet which takes just as much will power if not more you can eat just as much and not hae to move more either and while that is an unhealthy alternative that may lead to sustainable weight loss for some individuals its more often then not a marketing strategy that keeps people in shame cycles of not being able to fallow through with the diet going back to there old habits and gaining weight rabidly as the body is no longer adjusted to what they use to eat then trying the diet again or a new diet instead of tackling the issue and becoming a healthy person
both path require allot of will power
one is just more straight forward and healthy about it while the other is marketed towards your emotions to make you feel like you'll have to use less when it takes just as much or more and is ultimately less healthy
that said its better to be a skinny to medium fat guy that can fallow through with a diet plan for the rest of there life then a fat person
but its much much better to be an in shape guy that can manage the amount they eat then both

the protein trend is so stupid, unless your for some reason avoiding protein rich foods, which most dont, you are probably getting what you need or close enough you can change some small things. its fiber people actually need to supplement since a disturbing amount of adults have an aversion to vegetables

went on a backpacking trip with 14 people. we made a stew / chili with 10lbs of mountain house beef cubes. they cooked up so good you couldn’t tell it was dried. extremely good. we were also drunk, ate tons of mushrooms that day, and were super happy to have a killer dinner. it was amazing

There isnt a single reason you cant bring perishable fresh food and cook like you do at home. I bring a pan and a pot and a stove and I eat the pasta and rice dishes I make at home, with meat and fresh fruits and veggies. I only bring dried stuff for day 3 or 4 onward.
Stop paying REI prices for mountain house slop and make real food.

Hardtack. It is hard to eat and not particularly tasty but it does make you feel alive. Pairs well with coffee, tea or soup. If you make thin ones they also pair well with canned fish.

Alternatively if I'm not in the mood for larping, I like making myself some old fashioned bannock. It's just flour with a generous amount of fat (I use either butter or lard), salt and sugar, various grains and optionally some dried fruit. Quite tasty, filling and easy to carry around.

The problem with this in the usa, separate from the littering, is that the year requirement for something to be a "historical artifact" and be federally protected is very short at only 100 years, which means lots of trash can become historical if left long enough. Plenty of places with old mining or cowboy camps where they just left all their garbage, including cans with brand names still around today, and their refuse pile now have to be protected as a historic resource

Even for people who don’t usually eat rice, do they have many opportunities to eat it while hiking or at disaster shelters?
I thought you guys ate instant bread more often than instant rice.
