I'm serious, how do you eat an apple if you're not going to slice it? My bottom gums are always taking on a lot of stress. I don't know if I'm supposed to break the apple with my bottom jaw or use both jaws to break a piece. Am I meant to shovel a piece out? I genuinely don't think I'm eating apples correctly because everyone else seems to get through an apple easily, but for me, the pain is not worth the fruit

For years I've been eating my apples with a paring knife. Not pre-slicing; but eating bit after bit as I cut. It's less messy that way.

I actually got an apple to understand your dilemma and I think I got your problem
I guess you takes bites too deep into the apple so that the apple pushes against your gums instead of breaking off before they reach your gums. For me it's more a nibble
