Any tips for enjoying veggies more? I made this, but ended up eating just the meat and egg and throwing out the veggies.

Yeah eat vegetables when they are in season and make recipes that are about the vegetable not "spend 5 hours autistically nitpicking about how and when to salt your meat and then throw in some out of season squash from new zealand so you don't die of colon cancer"
>>
>>21975361
I did season them retard

Sautéed carrots with sesame oil, zucchini with gochujang, and shiitake with ponzu sauce
>>
Brian lagerstrom has a good video on how not to make veggies suck.

>I did season them
He didn't say otherwise. You OK dude?
>>
>>21975373
I don't like zucchini but gochujang makes anything taste good, honestly. I would've devoured those carrots and mushrooms.
You might just not like em, anon, because your spices/sauces are on point.
In which case I would recommend blending your veggies with fruits that you like and chugging them in smoothie form. No, it's not glamorous but if you don't like the taste of vegetables it's a good way to get em in you fast.

A direct quote is:
>eat vegetables when they are in season
You deleted "in" and I can't imagine why.
>>
>>21975354
Oh also to add onto what I said here >>21975480, do you like soups? You can always make a vegetable soup with beef or chicken in it. Or blend it up into a broth that you can sip on.

for me it helped to eat the veggies / salad first then the good meal. for a good amount of time I first ate the veggies / salad and only afterwards started cooking the main dish
>>
>>21975604
I tried but I couldn't even do that, I even brushed the chives off the egg after taking the picture
>>
>>21975611
You didn't try. You just didn't want to eat them and made this thread as bait.
>>
>>21975354
cook them and season them, raw veggies are almost always shit
>>
>>21975354
buy less meat, if anything
you already knew the solution to this
stop being a self-hindrance and moaning about it online

just eat them
>>
>>21975611
that's ridiculous. you're just being performative.
>>
I tried making vegetables once but it made hte gay thoughts come back so now I just eat raw meat just like Dr. Jordan Peterson said.

What an embarrassing thread.

butter and salt.
>>
I seriously don't know how people can't enjoy vegetables. Just some basic bitch shit my stepmother made for Green Vomit day was fucking delicious. Cabbage, carrots, potatoes, and onions just cut into big chunks and oven roasted.

I stole the left overs and added them to instant noodles for the rest of the week and fucking loved it.
>>
Roasted carrots, potatoes, and onions are delicious. Steamed broccoli with butter salt and pepper is my favorite.
>>

Umm, don't eat squash?
>>
>>21975855
>Green Vomit day
i have not heard of your stepmother before now, but i think i like her
very good
>>
>>21975354
have less meat/carbs
make the kinds of veggies you like, don't try to eat something you hate just because it's healthy
have a salad instead of veggies
>>
>>21975354
have you tried growing up? imagine being a "man" and being scared of vegetables lmfao. pathetic.

You have to start by figuring out and explaining your problem with them.
Is it flavor or texture?
>>
>>21975478
IN season anon, IN SEASON.
>>
>>21975354
I only ever bother with carrots, potatoes, broccolis. They need to taste good and make me healthier
>>
>>21975373
Were the veggies still crunchy? I don’t normally like steak or eggs with crunchy veg, they ideally need to have some browning
>>
>>21975354
You bought and cooked vegetables only to throw them out?

What a fucking retard.
>>
>>21975354
no you did right. just don't make the veg.
>>
instead of frying the vegetables in tallow or god forbid oil just steam them and drown them in freshly grated cheese or butter
>>21975373
>oil
have you ever considered that if you dont like something its not because its healthy, and that being healthy doesnt require punishing yourself?
>>
>>21975354
eat broccoli, it’s god tier if you cook it right. Broccoli cheddar soup is a good option if you’re not ready to eat broccoli straight up.
>>
>>21979127
or just steam brocolli dump some freshly grated cheese onto them and drink water
>>
>>21979127
Broccoli is actually very unhealthy. It’s filled with enzymes which will grind against your intestines and cause heavy tearing and fistulas. Highly suggest not buying into big brocs ad. If you want something green, go for a green tea. It’s not heavy enough to cause any tearing of your intestines. These micro tears caused by broccoli will cause major digestive problems and can lead to heart attacks.

Even as a children I had a discipline. Delayed gratification, learning the cheeseburger was the real experience, made myself finish the drink first (usually club soda) as it was the worst. Then the fries were pretty good, and would get full off those, saving the burger for later.
nowadays it's eating all the peas, carrots, corn, and seeing if i have room for the delicious meat. eat all the pasta, save the meatballs for sandwiches
sandwiches are an exception, you eat all that at the same time
