>Umm I can't start a family or move out or even just LIVE because everything is so expensive!! Inflation!! Even chips are like 8 dollars a ba-
Just buy stuff on sale retards, food prices didn't actually inflate, they just raised the sticker price for 80iq mongrels who don't realize that they don't actually need to pay that price.

I’m not happy about living in a society where my purchases are dictated by what stores choose to put on sale. I expect America to live up to its claims of excellence desu, so although i handle my budget per my needs and in doing O.K., I’m going to complain about constant rising costs and expect people in charge to give a shit and do something different

>must spend $20 to get the privilege of a "deal" that makes chips a fair price
>>
>Want to buy 1 chip for $2.50
>Can't because they won't let me
>Forced to buy 4 chips for $2.50 each
>Spent $7.50 more than I wanted to and have 3 extra bags of goyslop that I don't want
It's only a "tolerable" price to buy chips for if you're somebody who shoves chips down your gullet nonstop, instead of someone who just wants one bag of doritos for a rare craving or small party.
It's better to stop eating goyslop entirely and cook real food that is cheaper, and the prices are a good motivator for that.

deals just give you normal prices now.
>Weekly special for $2.77/lb chicken thighs family pack ("regular price $3.99/lb")
>get my pack and walk by meat counter
>loose thighs have a sign that says "Every Day Low Price $2.79"
what the fuck is going on.

Funny thing is Americans on 4chan all earn $150K per year and 'Europoors' are poorer than Americas poorest state but you NEVER see threads with Euros complaining about food prices?
Makes you think eh?

I visited USA last year and was surprised how expensive food in supermarkets was, easily double the price of stuff here in the UK
the beer was cheaper tho
>>

I've been to the USA a few times, groceries are about 3x more expensive. An American pint is actually smaller than a British pint.
Fuel is shitloads cheaper though.
Car hire is also cheaper if you are a Brit, must be something to do with our test?
Overheads are also higher in the USA, with stuff like rent and Car insurance, many Americans are upto their eyeballs in debt with car loans, etc.

You go to the hassle of grocery shopping to buy less than $20 of shit? That's insane to me. You must "shop" 3 times a week. What a fucking waste of time, I could make $75 at work in the time it takes me to shop once. There is no way you live in a Western first world country.
>>
>>21976908
i shop 3 or more times a week. i dont mind. and I'm only in the store for like 15 minutes at a time, and i dont ever risk wasting food because i buy what i need when i need it. i live within 2 minutes of 5 different grocery stores so it's not a hassle. i dont really understand what the crux of your rather combative post is.

>food prices didn't actually inflate, they just raised the...price
Anon, multiple companies have recently come out and said they're lowering prices. Now why would they do that if prices weren't being excessively raised? It's not even inflation because price increases were much higher than inflation. Stop justifying this shit.

this is why i hate albertsons and all their sub brands
they have the "regular" price, the fake sale price that sticks around 11/12 months of the year to trick people into thinking theyre saving so much money (usually $0.25-$0.75 discount), and then theres the real sales
i hate the fact that i need an encyclopedic knowledge of prices just to know when there is a real sale going and that i need to use the stupid fucking app to get the real coupons
