KFC Buffet in North Carolina
$13.00 per person
Much better than $40 for a bucket of chicken

American seasoned tourists here
I’ve been all over the world when I took a cruise to Japan in 2017
I pride myself on all foods but Japan just wasn’t cutting g it for me, My host glfamiku was very gracious and served all kinds of meals for me but I sadly just could t stomach any of it.
Even the famed Ramen shops or maid cafes of Akihabara didn’t do anything, I was starting to give up and write away all Japanese good as “ not very good” when I went to a small chain restaurant in Tokyo called マクドナルド with translates to Makudonarudo or something where I got the most delicious pan seared beef, thinly diced onion coated with a layer of cheese and a healthy dollop of tomato sauce between two brioche buns lined with sesame seeds.
I was in heaven and vowed for the rest of the trip to only eat at this place. Thankfully the cashier understood English so I was able to sample most of the menu during my time there. Highlights included chicken breast cut into small thumb like pieces and coated with a light crispy batter
It turned a 3/10 trip into a 10/10 culinary experience for me

daily reminder that the "woah this place still has a buffet!" media campaign is a psyop to destroy these places with illegals who will abuse it and fill up their dresses and hoodies and purses with buffet food

I used to go to Bojangles for their AYCE buffet. You just went up to the counter and asked for more of whatever you wanted.
The only negative to it was that the Bojangles where I lived was owned by one of those fanatical Christian types who played "praise music" over the restaurant's audio system. IDGAF about your religion but when the music is insipid and the lyrics are nothing but constant "Praise Jesus! Jesus cured my bunions! Jesus is the way and the life!" it's just obnoxious to force it on paying customers.

Meh. One of my local Wendys still had the all-you-can-eat Chili Tuesdays (4:30pm-8:30pm) until I noticed it and started ordering it. I didn't even abuse it, just got a couple of "large" bowls for about the price of 1.5 of them. But the owner got pissed off and shut it off after less than a month.
I asked about it on /r/Wendys and actual employees posting there didn't even know that ever existed and were calling me a liar, until I searched up some news articles and proved that it used to be a nationwide thing.
Sadly, a few months ago Wendy's shut down both that location and another one nearer to me that didn't have the chili deal anyway but at least wasn't run by assholes. Now the only one left near me is run by a nog who claims his Freestyle machine is constantly "broken" so you can't get your own refills. Have to go up to the counter and ask every single time you want one, and he glares at you and takes forever.

Fuck, I wish we still had Chinese buffets around here. They all died during COVID. The one nearest me STILL doesn't have a new tenant in that building, it's been sitting empty for five years.

>favorite chinese buffet died during covid
>price was great, staff were nice, location was convenient, it was actually clean
>now it's a shitty anime-themed sushi restaurant where 3/4 the menu is just rolls named after naruto and one piece
It hurts. It really hurts.

You could also just go to Food Lion and get their box of fried chicken for $4 which tastes similar but also better than KFC. Way juicier too.
They also sell these giant bags of nuggets that look and taste *exactly* like McDonald's nuggets for $5. There's like 20 nuggets in that thing. Goes to show just how badly fast food restaurants rip people off.
