I like this one from Serious Eats. It uses a parmesan cream sauce instead of ricotta. Most storebought ricotta is disgusting.

All these fags dont wanna answer you. I will tell you basically how my mom did it when I was young, who learned it from grandma, who lesrned it from her mom in Italy.
>Make ziti first. Dont fully cook, but do boil your pasta.
>pour into dish with pasta sauce. Preferably homemade. (My mom does it with one she makes in a massive pot with pork ribs over the course of a day.)
You can further season with your spices of choice like oregano, garlic, basil, etc but if you have good sauce them this step is skipped.
Put ze cheese on top. Do NOT be afraid to layer on all the cheese. All of it. Anything you got.
