Been seeing a lot of Kevin Spencer lately. It's weird that this niche cartoon from strange Canadian childhoods now has a fandom... But Im not complaining.

Fujoshits and autistic shotacons will literally jerk off to anything vaguely resembling a little boy it's insane. Like, not to bash something you like, but what is the actual appeal of this character? It's one thing to like it because it's funny or relatable, but I seriously do not see the visual appeal of this paper cutout nothing character who is supposed to be/look like a drug addicted alcoholic. Like I'm genuinely curious.

I, personally, am attracted to Kevin Spencer in a way that is mostly born out of parasocial attachment. The Kevin Spencer show is 8 seasons long, and I have spent dozens of hours of my time watching him -- when I see cute art (and porn) of Kevin Spencer, I dont just see depictions of some guy, but of a "person" whom I am familiar with. I suspect a lot of shotacons/fujos have similar stories -- they like the show first, "fall in love" with the character after watching him go on a bunch of adventures, and develop the ability to find fanart of an ugly, weird character appealing.
It helps that a lot of the fanart moefies him in such a way that makes him cuter, too.

Excellent observation
>a lot of the fanart moefies him in such a way that makes him cuter, too
Also an important point.
I think the moeification by the Japanese side of the fandom is often an important process. It's almost certainly the only reason South Park has 60-odd threads on here

I understand why this ship would be potentially appealing, but I don't think it really works because Thaddeus (or Thor, I don't remember actually) is such a nothing character, unworthy of Phineas

>>4015167
>I wonder if the people who worked on Big Hero 6 have any idea of what their movie spawned
Depends on how based they are.
My unpopular opinion is that I'd rather have Hiro's main pairing be with Generic Mob than with his brother because Tadashi is so bland and their relationship is so "dead action movie wife" that it being incest somehow makes it blander.
Both Tadashi himself and Tadashi's relationship with Hiro are so boring, so a relationship on the merits (ignoring the glaring incest) makes it a very dull one, especially because it's one of those ships that only exists because there is literally no one else to ship those two with.
Honey Lemon, Fred, Wasabi? Not hot, no personality, and also, no pre-existing relationship.
Gogo is definitely hot and sorta has a personality (if a generic one), but once again, no extant relationship.
Then there's Aunt Cass, but they have nothing going on dynamic wise, and a ship with her and either of the boys has no emotional friction, the appeal is purely pornographic.
Character and dynamics-wise, Tadashi/Hiro is the equivalent of having soggy chips be your only sustenance on a 6-hour road trip.
But then it's combined with the fact that it's incest, which is inherently transgressive, so it's this flavorless thing that has the vibe of something spicy.
It's like having a date who brags about being kinky, but he thinks anything harder than 50 Shades is too weird

Just discovered that there is a very niche (but growing) #heffleycest community on Xitter.
Will 2026 be the year of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid fujo fandom..? Let's hope so
>>
>>4017573
Big Hero 6 is one of those boring works that only has a fandom because it's aesthetically kind of hot, but it's ultimately sort of substanceless... like the Lorax.
Greg and Rodrick would be a good replacement for Hiro and Tadashi desu

Are jocks really this gay or did Heathers lie to me?
>>
>>4018324
Unfortunately, 0% of the men on this board were anything close to jocks in highschool -- this is a terrible place to ask.
>>
>>4018324
There was a pair of jockish guys when I was in highschool. They acted gay to eachother as a joke, but it was probably partly serious. They'd slap eachothers asses, it was funny.
>>
>>4018324
I feel like there might be *some* truth to it, but any gay relationships between highschool jocks are probably really, really DL. Teenage boys who are deathly insecure about their masculinities would never admit to being gay.
As Heathers taught us, a jock would die before being outed.

Fascinating.
When I was a really little kid, I thought that all the anime-looking stuff locally dubbed and broadcast in shitty quality was made locally (am Asian), while all the superior Western cartoons were made in America. No, no one told me what Europe was. I think I kinda assumed non-American Western countries looked like fantasy Barbie movies.
Also, learning that pianokite is a thing and that I think I love Schroeder.
There's something about very serious but fragile animated blondes with frighteningly bright eyes.

Yes, but I feel like this will only be true until 2060, when being gay splits into two styles: gay and straight

Eh, even then, it doesn't do it for me.
San Fransokyo or whatever it was feels kinda like a Lego world, but in too much detail, and sans charming absurdity. It's such an Obama-era creation, though, so it at least has that going for it.
The characters edge more into nicely designed than strictly hot, with the exceptions I noted above of Asian Rosa Diaz and MILF Mom Jeans Aunt with her handsome orphan wards, hunky Wonderbread and science shota.
>like the Lorax
Ah, yes, the hottest character, the Lorax, voiced by Danny DeVito.
I kid, I get that you mean Onecest stuff.
I found some nice fan art of the Zac Efron character on Twitter, but I don't have the file right now

>good replacement for Hiro and Tadashi
Hard agree, though it's a low bar.
Unlike Hiro and Tadashi, Greg and Rodrick actually have a dynamic worth watching, very entertaining, but tons of room for moeification.
The thing about Hiro getting with Tadashi that I think pushes it into viscerally disgusting is that Tadashi is written so blandly that he comes off as basically asexual to me, so him being with his brother, for me, comes completely out of fucking nowhere. It almost feels like a crackship. There isn't actually anything there to latch onto, especially given how they're such a flat and ironed-out idealized portrayal of siblings.
I would say they're almost a parody of Disney relationships, but Disney does siblings well: Lilo and Nani, Dipper and Mabel, Kenai and Koda, Ferb and Phineas, Phineas and Candace, Pepper and Moose ...
No, what they are is like a parody of Disney child and dead-parent relationships.

Enter Greg and Roderick, who are the complete opposite: as realistically messy and antagonistic as brothers can be, with a degree of emotional distance, but enough of a sense of mutual affection and admiration to be sweet on occasion.
And given how much they influenced their fan designs, I wonder what their actors would feel about this.
That's such a cursed thought, let's forget that they exist.

I've mainly deeped charlinus but these are pretty sweet Schroeder pieces. I've in recent times been appreciating Schroeder more for his serene and levelheaded personality. I was trying to find any good quality official art of him looking handsome in his hocky gear, could only find this from a photograph of a strip put up for auction.

Underrated contender for goat animated sitcom.
More consistent than the Simpsons, vastly superior to overrated internet meme Family Guy

A gay gay, is this even a question?
A straight gay on that show is, like ... I was just gonna say Linda, but looking at the show history, it's actually most of them.
Then there are the rare and precious gay straights, like Stan. Although he is also gay. Straight gay.

Hey, that's Joe Agate! He's quite charismatic in the animated special. I like his bad boy charm. He's rude, he'll push you around, call you names, but if you give him marbles and ask him how to play, he's real nice. After he's done teaching you, he'll take all your marbles then laugh in your face >:)

>More consistent than the Simpsons, vastly superior to overrated internet meme Family Guy
Oh, and strange note: not as cute as South Park, entirely thanks to the fujos.
It's weird how outside the Scientology incident, South Park's worthiest contribution to the canon of Western animated sitcoms isn't in being the smartest or most biting satirically of those long-lived leviathans, but in being the cutest, entirely due to inexorable outside forces (horny Japanese nerd women)

The biggest American Dad ship seems to be Sneve (Snot x Steve). Again, totally understandable. But Roger and Klaus have such a fun dynamic...
Sigh. If only their designs were more palatable to moeification.
>>
I'm not going to post that much about Klaus and Roger, because I'm aware that the majority of posters here don't care for them... But I'd just like to point out that the Kloger episode is basically softcore pornography. I can't believe no one ever talks about this.

Joe Agate is kinda yummy :3 I do like him paired with Roy, the two being natives to the camp world. I like to think, despite his mean outward persona, he's really sweet and gentle with him. Well, judging by your pics, you may want to consider horny Chinese women.
(Which, for all we know, could mean either Mainlander, Taiwanese, Singaporean, or Malaysian. The Chinese folk in my country assimilated more and don't speak Chinese that often, and it's not Mandarin. I dunno why I'm telling you this).
>more palatable to moeification
Yeah, they're really, uh ... yeah.
The issue is really less KIaus' body (salvageable) and more Roger's (inherently grotesque).
Me, personally, I find it difficult to imagine Roger tied down and not being a massive whore, feels wrong

I love the contrast they have between the old and new designs for Joe Agate, where the new one is this like mean, rough, inexplicably Brooklynite bully type, while the old one looks like a creepypasta.
Old Joe is just this creepy shifty sketchy criminal type, probably has a forked tongue, is actually a very short 40-year old, eats kids with his pointy sketchy mouth that stretches snake-like inhumanly (once he steals their marbles, of course)

Don't sweat it, lotsa folks here do it!
OK, lots is overstating it, but I think it's a nice development in the board culture here that more people do it.
>sparklingtoast
Thank you very much!
>I like to think, despite his mean outward persona, he's really sweet and gentle with him
I think he'd very much be a mob boyfriend who's mean to everyone but the cutie that inexplicably likes him. Would he be as much of a smooth-talker stealing your heart as when he's stealing your marbles, or does his brain short-circuit into a stuttering mess?
>>
