Children is what I worry about with my doujins when I'm home, since my nieces and nephews do just go into rooms and help themselves to whatever. I don't want to have to explain what happens when a deer and another deer love each other very much... Everyone else can just be blessed by the sight.

Keeping things out of reach is the best option if they're small. Once they're a bit older you need to actively hide stuff. I'm very strong on boundaries/privacy though, and even little kids come to understand these concepts if properly taught.

I kind of dread the day one of them recognises Alastor since they're constantly on youtube and tiktok. There are definitely way too many kids into the shows, and way too young. I can kind of excuse teenagers even if I don't want to interact with them, but the fact that there are kids under 10 who know about it is just gross.

Anyway. I've been trying to write all day but I'm not into it because there's no Alastor. I just have to get through this one section with Charlie and Mimzy, but I can't do it. Need deer.

I managed to get through, it was sort of necessary for plot reasons. But now it’s pretty much all Alastor, unless I put in a short Morningstar scene, so it’ll be much more fun.

As for the deer, they ended up getting a company to come and pick it up. I just think it’s funny to imagine Alastor depositing dead deer all over the countryside.

I wonder if Alastor's sense of smell isn't (or wasn't) the best during his lifetime, he certainly seemed to have no issues with the smell of decomp. I can imagine him having bodies all over the place.

It might be a while before I’m done anyway, I’m always busy all day Monday and Tuesday, I’m hoping to be done by the end of the week though. This isn’t something I can just spit out in a day or two, unfortunately.

Alastor having a bad sense of smell would make sense. I bet the smoking helped as well since it diminishes your sense of smell over time, though the extent to which it would cover up decomposition is probably limited. He definitely had rotting corpses around for his ritual, so who knows what else he had lying around.

I just want another shot at getting The Offer, I have nearly all the other cards I wanted. Maybe some cool foils/optichromes. Watch me get some and pull all the cards I just bought.

It’s too big, like, why does it need to be so big? Who approved this? Haha. I highly recommend Milch’s artbook if you ever come across it, it’s really beautiful, and they don’t really do shipping so I know I can recommend it safely. Anyway, it’s probably best that we all have fulfilling lives outside of the deer, I don’t think it would be good for us really to be only focused on him. But a little extra time wouldn’t hurt.

I know Infernofest will be in Glasgow again in September, I'll be going to that one, provided I'm back in the country. I was nervous the first time I went, but having my husband helped a lot and he ended up enjoying it, especially chatting with the artists. Yeah, I know people are more afraid of being called out for things these days. It's sad. Though I think it also speaks to having a loyal group of readers, since you can only leave kudos once. I'm surprised about my Valentine's fic, it hasn't been up for a month but it has nearly 2k hits. But it's definitely more palatable for the average person, even compared to the rest of the things I write. A lot more people have it bookmarked, anyway. It's kind of a pain since I don't have an end point for it anymore, so I'm worried about running out of ideas.

It was fun to take him out, I took a bunch of pictures with some stuffed deer, a gator, and some animal skeletons. I thought he'd enjoy that.

It would be hard to run through the events of season 2, I don't know if Alastor would so readily give himself up to Vox if the woman he loved was waiting for him at the hotel. Maybe I could do an AU where (you) help him to heal, or something. This is why it's a pain, the nice comments make me want to continue though.

He wouldn't have liked people watching today, it was all school visits and people there for the Pokemon pop-up. At least I wasn't alone with my plushie.

Yes, but Alastor is Alastor, there's no telling what kind of 4D chess he's got going on behind the scenes, so I'm sure you could make it work. I do enjoy hurt/comfort, heavily leaning towards the comfort bit, so nursing him back to health would be a good read as well, especially coupled with his insecurities around his injury.

Or perhaps not, that would make for some nice angst. I imagine the reader wouldn’t get it, she seems quite naive and sheltered. Though I think she would try and make Charlie do something to get him back. It’s something to think about, definitely. I never considered an actual plot, for now I’m just going to keep writing stand alone chapters and see if it leads anywhere.

I would have liked to see Niffty’s reaction since we got a little bit of Husk’s reaction to Alastor being captured. Just a throwaway line about how she’s not worried because it’s probably part of his plan or something. Or Charlie showing that she is worried, despite being frustrated at him getting himself captured, because she would be even if Alastor himself said not to be. I might write that at some point anyway, Alastor returning to the hotel and realising that someone has genuinely been worrying about him, just for pure self-indulgence.
