H
Good morning, grandpa. It's two twenty-two today, which isn't at all significant. Otherwise, it would have been mentioned in the newspaper comics somewhere. They're pretty desperate for content.

By every indication, they've always been around. Disparate societies had them back in the B.C., and the mentions in those records already treat them as mundane objects. There's just always been a need to throw a respected elder on top of something so they can be pushed around, so once you have chairs and wheels, someone makes the connection pretty quickly.

can i just say that count weirdly has acquired some seriously impressive technology. even if it is not a time machine the scene suggests that it is at least a teleportation vehicle. I for one am unsure if it's more concerning that he may have stolen this tech or has developed it himself.
>>
>>152588807
it's a time machine that just teleports between alternate realities until it finds the one that's exactly like ours except offset by X amount of time
>>
>>152586516
I always wondered why everyone's ties look so weird in Beetle Baily and thought it was just a stylistic thing but it's actually accurate to how for decades the US military uniform regs had this weird shit with the tie tucked completely inside of a button up shirt so only the neck part and like two inches of the hanging part is showing. Weird shit.
>>
>>152586587
Y'know, I've actually had a similar thought, but in reverse- it seems like a lot of times when people say they're bored, it's because the person themselves is boring. There's always something to do, but the boring person doesn't want to actually DO anything, or worse, they're afraid of being left to their own devices and accidentally doing some self introspection shit so they must be actively entertained/consuming at all times.

Man, I wasn't expecting to get metaphysical from the funnies. Look at that FUCKING SWOLE SNOWMAN GODDAMN

I'm sad that Heart of the City has utterly ruined these sort "activity" comics for me. Now it just seems like a desperate attempt at padding rather than a cute novelty that pops up every blue moon.

Every week I see anon post the Rosebuds strip again (for some reason) and I thought it was to show how weird the coloring is. But the coloring is actually fine, apparently, at least in an image editor and an image viewer, but in the web browser itself it turns into garish-ass C64 colors.

Why?
>>
>>152594136
I get the Sunday strips from USAToday since ComicsKingdom doesn't run the title panels. For some reasons that's how the colors show up there.
>>
>>152594174
BUT THE COLORS ARE ACTUALLY FINE
THEY JUST EMBEDDED SOME PROFILE OR SOMETHING THAT MAKES IT TURN RETARDED IN A WEB BROWSER
WHY
>>
>>152594198
I DON'T KNOW
I DON'T RUN THE DAMN SITE
>>
>>152594174
nta but is there a particular reason why you repost the rosebuds sunday comic? Not that I'm against it or want you to stop doing so, just curious. I like it that you do that and any story recaps if there are any, I think your sunday posts are more hi res, too.
>>
>>152594308
>I think your sunday posts are more hi res, too.
Yeah, that's why I do it. I figured out how to get the full res images off ComicsKingdom, so I post 'em for the Rosebuds enjoyers.
>>
>>152593807
Surprised that this week's Nancy broke Xitter's headlines more than this out of context Arlo and Janis comic did to boomers.

The first telephone call was made in 1876, light bulbs weren't patented until 1880, and that house's decor is clearly from much later.

Stacy's drawing is pretty neat. I'd read that webcomic.

>>
>>152594136
If I had to guess, maybe the original colors are brighter to account for newspaper printing dulling the colors? And then the web version has more muted colors?
>>

I'm at a loss. What's he covered in?

>>152586443
Looked it up, and while the concept has existed since at least the early 16th century, it actually seems like Charles Darwin of all people made the first wheeled chair we would recognize as an "office chair" by attaching some casters to his study chair, to make it easier for him to move around his study.

Crabgrass >>152586587 is relatively new and is arguably one of the best strips in the thread. Havent read much Breaking Cat News >>152586547 but I know that's a newer comic too. And of course there's Rosebuds. There's a few more new ones that I admittedly dont remember right now but there's a lot that are basically just webcomics on Go Comics which are pretty good. Also depends on if you count legacy upgrades like Nancy and Datbaby
>>
>>152586842
It's really funny how this artist had such a terrible strip last week to the point of escaping these usual threads, only for this weeks' strip to be a huge home run in general.
