I will never understand how DC keeps manages to screw up in all their recent attempts at the Legion of Super-Heroes despite it being such an idiot proof concept. It's a space opera with superheroes and young adult drama. Get it together, damn.

Writers would be have to able to write a) likable young adults and their drama b) come up with sci fi storylines about superheroes c) juggling all the characters d) write shorter/self contained stories about individual characters instead of world ending mega block buster stories where everyone fights everyone else

Too bad. You'll get her ancestor instead who's nowhere near as interesting as the showrunners seem to think she is. To the point that she even made it back into the comics.

For the record, I don't actually dislike Nia, I just resent her being in the show over Nura.

Heard of it! After Bendis' trainwreck of a run, anyone else would be a step up.

Really hoping Phantom Girl at least kinda looks like how she did in the cartoon in this new run since that's my best point of reference to the Legion. (Heck the OP uses a pic of her in that show.)

Every attempt to refresh the Legion hasn't been very good. The truth is the classic olde Legion comics weren't very good either.

How would you even do that? Ok, Wildfire MAYBE you could insert him into the various plotlines or isolate him off to the side with Matter Eater Lad and Polar Boy. But Jo's entire arc revolves around Tinya being dead unless you go the route that she left him for Star Boy and the that I to also explain why Dream Girl got fat

I don't have a lot of hope. DC somehow can't figure out how to do a space opera with superheroes. It really is galling that they keep fucking it up, because LoSH debuted nearly a decade before the original Star Trek. They literally did it first!

Just take the random one armed dude who shares Wildfire's first name that is shacking up with Cosmic Boy/Night Girl who clearly was supposed to be Wildfire and actually make him be Drake Burroughs.

Either that or do Wildfire/Dawnstar as a married pair of bounty hunters with new codenames (Dawnstar=Bounty, Drake=Wildstar) to salvage the whole fucked up Dawnstar is Bounty debacle.
