Comic is better at its best.
Cartoon is still pretty good and arguably handles some parts of the arcs it adapts a bit better.
The one thing you might want to know is that the "New Power" arc in the comic is almost like a soft reboot and most people tend not to like the comic past that. The last arc before it reads like a pretty decent ending too.

To this day, the reveal that Irma's mom, who looks like an adult version of her, was actually her step mom really frustrates me. It was such a weird and largely inconsequential narrative choice.
