I have a very bad feeling this thread might turn into World War III.

Okay then, if you are going for that route, The Simpsons Movie was not phenomenal but it was good and specially funny, something that can't be say it about The Day The Earth Blew Up.

>Tainted by overused beanmouth
>BTFO by an Arizona test audience who liked the Molina cut, but wouldn't pay to see it in theaters
>Delayed from March 2024 to June 13, 2025
>Saddled with TWO additional directors who were brought in to salvage it as Molina exits to work on Coco 2
>Cucked by HTTYD remake when that movie gets delayed from March 14, 2025 to June 13, 2025
>Delayed yet again from June 13, 2025 to June 20, 2025 to mitigate the inevitable mogging
>Mogged anyway by opening with a pathetic $20.8 million
>Doomed regardless as Molina's cut would have failed much like Lightyear and Strange World did
Apparently, Disney learned nothing from most of its earlier 2000's animated sci-fi (Treasure Planet, Atlantis, Mars Needs Moms, Meet the Robinsons) when it greenlit Elio, Lightyear, and Strange World. Kinda fitting that it unironically repeated those same mistakes 20+ years later.

After posting that, Desuarchive took a big shit and became slow again. OP is intentionally slowing down a 4chan archive site.

Ignoring all of the schizobabble, I thought this movie was okay. It feels a little padded, and I don't think it'll hold up on a rewatch, but it accomplished its goal: reintroduce Looney Tunes characters to younger audiences while remaining somewhat faithful to previous interpretations of said characters.

So in comparison, are you assuming this movie is gonna be better or worse?

In what sense? Is it because it damaged the Looney Tunes brand? (Surely Space Jam 2 has done more to kill LT.)
Ruined the market for American 2D films? (That hasn't been a concern in a decade.)
Took resources away from better projects? (This is WB we're talking about. All they do is shovel money into a furnace with more steps.)

It was certainly the best traditionally animated theatrical release in the year 2024 starring a pig and a duck to have come from an American studio.
