Why do they keep stealing art/characters when they are so successful and have plenty of money? It almost feels like a mockery and power flex thing as much as a money grab thing. Glitch even took the original piece to draw their sticker over instead of referencing it. It was approved and sold. The hell?

Why are memes even making it into the final cut anyway? If it's a meme that's not your IP then it's someone else's. Duh. Plus memes aren't good for promoting media, it's fun for the kids but at the risk of killing immersion.

The explanation they're giving is the Gitch team took art from the KoG production crew for the stickers without asking if anything might be just an edit of someone else's work. They were looking for sketches that would make cute stickers and zeroed in on that piece without knowing the crew was just shitposting memes in the production art channel.
It's a plausible explanation, I could see it happening. If that's how it went though I couldn't say.
