what's up with this comic?? I wanted to check it out since Tyrion wrote it but literally every single character is flaboyantly gay or bisexual. It's shoehorned to the maximum degree. the story is alright I guess but is pretty distracting. is it worth it to push through to keep readying?

Getting filtered by gay chars is more gay than enjoying the gay chars desu please step a few feet outside of the closet

inversely, do you think it would be appropriate for a sci-fi(ish) comic where every character is talking about fucking some female counterpart? yeah tyrion is gay, but to have it not only interspersed, but be the defining feature of a book just feels gross.

are any of tynion's comics actually good?
it all comes across as sleek, wannabe-Buffy style-over-substance horror pitches for Netflix that are actually always about being a queer teenage boy.
what about the Memetic trilogy? Let This One Be a Devil? Blue Book/Red Book?
Clive Barker was more subtle than this.

That doesn't mean anything to anyone when you base the quality of writing entirely on how many gay people exist in it... can you at least come up with a reasonable issue with the writing? Other than "horny gay guys make me uncomfortable"? There's also a hot (depending on your preference I guess) naked broad in almost every issue, it's not like there is no service to heterosexual people. It's not "genre" queer it just has gay people in it. Jesus I keep seeing you /pol/ shits in all my other boards lately, are tyrannical jews not keeping you fags busy enough??

I'm not looking for any overdone writing about anyone's sexuality. I would rather a writer prioritize the character's normal interests and background + overall story first, without prioritizing their sexual interests over that. It's distracting, the fact that you have to defend it is proof enough that it's overdone.

My point is that you only think it is overdone because you are fixating on it. It's not an abnormal amount of sex for a comment with a naked lady on the cover. If you can't tolerate the reference or use of more mature themes, ie sex, then go back to normie cape shit. It is normal for characters to talk about sex, including gay ones. It is human.

I love reading. I don't have any nerd cred to maintain I just like reading dark stuff. The only IPs I really care about are some of the street level marvel characters like Daredevil and Punisher, but those aren't even like my favorite books, they have plenty of dog shit runs.
I mostly read non big three.
This place sucks because most people here don't like reading comics and we share it with 13 year old cartoon watchers that have the attention span that only lasts the duration of half a tik tok videos and people that are obsessed with culture war shit. Every fucking board on 4chan has turned to /pol/ now and it sucks.

Slott, Bendis, Snyder, and Millar have all written at least one good comic each in the past and saying 'never read anything by these guys' would be a disservice. Like Loeb they have not made anything of value in a long time but, also like Loeb, they have done very good work back in the day.
King did Batman/Fudd which I fully believe was ghost written because it is the best comic I read that decade.
I haven't read any Fraction but I heard his work on Iron Man was alright way back in the day. What did he do that was terrible?

>Slott, Bendis, Snyder, and Millar have all written at least one good comic each in the past
No.
I excluded Loeb for a reason.
Batman/Elmer Fudd is garbage and as bad as anything else he shat out that isn't Batman or Heroes in Crisis. I really don't understand why people pick this out of all the other crap.
>What did he do that was terrible?
Everything he writes has this cheesy, unfunny edge to it, which started with writers like Bendis.
