Because it was overcrowded in a sea of cartoons like Foster's, Avatar, Kids Next Door, Xiaolin Showdown, and even SpongeBob to a certain extent. I only ever heard about Robotboy because of the flash games, not the actual TV show.

hell i only ever recalled the porn popping up nine years after the fact, and even then it didn't take until 2017 or so for more of that to start popping up
For every Foster's that 2006, there were at least ten more The X's that didn't make it and got mined by artists after the fact. Can't say the same for our current cartoons...

The main villian was lame.
The main hero needed a kid sidekick to teach humanity who's only redeeming proxy was a hot Mom.
The action never lasted long enough for it to be worth watching all the way through.

I miss that status quo dearly. How spoiled we were back then.
Does The X's hold up?

It was an action-comedy, being upset that Dr Kamikazi was closer to a Mojo Jojo type over Lex Luthor is illogical. Furthermore for how short the episodes were they had some fun fights. Again it wasnt Shonen Jump, but then again it wasnt trying to be. Personally I'm more irked by the neglect of the wider rogues gallery.

Chalk it up to wasted potential.
>They barely used Robot Girl
>Relied too much on Gus being comedy relief
>Didn't really explore much on Tommy teaching RobotBoy on what it's like to be a real boy
>Tommy's family feels too one-dimensional to be interesting at all
>People compared it too much to MLAATR (not exactly fair)
That's atleast what I think, I geniunely kinda like this show. A shame really.
