would be nice to have more UPA-inspired adult cartoons
>>
>So right, the patient notices the doctor has short legs, long arms, is really hairy.
>Karl, if this turns out to be a monkey or ape-like creature I am never doing this show again.
>......
>So this little monkey fella

What's most interesting is that half the stories are true it's just Karl either skimmed the article and filled in the blanks or has some sort of learning disability so he's turned the plausible but strange into cartoonish and absurd

Would portal 2 have been better if Karl just dropped in and slapped Wheatley around?

Would portal 2 have been better if Karl was Wheatley?

Ricky Gervais isn't funny.
>>
>>152679591
Unlike Karl
>>
>>152679588
Yes.

Leaving this show aside, Valve's comedy started to suck after 2010. Except TF2, even if it's not perfect

This... was on the internet.

>Ricky: reddit atheist who thinks he's the smartest in the room because he could afford college. Says nothing of interest while constantly talking about big topics
>Karl: eccentric deep thinker with an open mind and zero education. Makes profound observations out of weird bullshit like his craving for plums or a slug he saw on his driveway
These two had one of the funniest dynamics i've seen on TV
>>
>>152679588
Probably not, as much as I love Karl his mumbling accent would make it impossible for half of that dialogue to get through unharmed. Steven was a perfect fit for that role.
>>
As you get older you realise Karl was the only smart one in the room.
>>
For me, it's Rockbusters.
>These people from the East Midlands swear a lot
>Tourette's Trent Derby

if karl was wheatley he'd tell you he's not bothered and the game would end there

*angel comes down from on high and hands you a scroll, vanishing into the clouds while playing a harp*

The hair of a chinaman

Yeah but have they read Shakespeare?

>This week on cheeky freak of the week we have a bloke with two heads.
>It's them/they Karl, it's two people
>Ok we have a they with two heads.

Karl intentionally embellished some of the stories. He's not that stupid.
>>
right.... so this lil uh... monkehfella...

That's what I thought when it came to the monkeys and type writers I think he didn't get it at first and when he did understand it he kept it going cause it pissed off Ricky. I don't think he's playing a character persay but when you compare how he acts on Idiot abroad versus some of his dumber moments in the show it doesn't really line up
>>
>>152679494
You know what's funny Wheatley only has a slightly bigger eye than Steve
>>
>>152682345
Karl knows when to play up a bit.
>Honestly Steve… it could have been your brother
>>
>>152677677
Well Karl was right about the monkey working at the train station
>>
>>152682720
I wonder if Karl ever made a joke about him voicing a giant eye
>>
>So i was over across the pond visiting america yeah.
>decide to visit gotham city, you know because of all the crazy people
>Ricky: "So you'll fit right in yeah." *steve chuckles*
>Walkin around decide to go down one of them seedy alley types.
>Stumble upon what looks like a crime scene or maybe an area that was used for crime. i dunno.
>Well all i know es i see some movement over by some trash cans thinkin to myself maybe its the big batguy that prowls around ere at night in his underwear or that british bird fella.
>turns out little monkey fella wearing a Sherlock hat.........or he was a very hairy irishman
>*Ricky and steve burst out laughing*
>>
I honestly thought when watching the show they just took clips where Karl doesn't laugh because there's no way they have hours and hours of content with a guy who's only laughed once but he really has only laughed like two or three times on the Ricky Gervais show in total. Even if he doesn't think Steve and Ricky are that funny it's an impressive feat to stonewall them for years
>>
Funny how there are actual monkey news out in the world right now, and the main man is not reporting it.

Been saying this for the past 15 years
I hate how all the fun interesting artstyles get used for kiddyslop, and adult cartoons get "Temu Family Guy" or "uglier than South Park"
I'd fucking suck a dick to get EEnE but for Adult Swim
> Brothers Grunt
And was actually still as interesting as EEnE and not just grossout shit trying too hard to be "adult"
>>
>>152683602
>get "Temu Family Guy" or "uglier than South Park"
Or "trying to be knockoff anime with none of why people watch anime"
>>
>>152683449
>says exactly what he's thinking, often at strange times
>doesn't understand why other people do strange things
>speaks in a bit of a monotone
>doesn't laugh unless he really finds something funny
is Karl autistic?
>>
>>152683704

>>

Why would you let a blind person operate a lighthouse? When's he gonna know that the light has gone dim or broken?
