Let's use the author's concepts of "outs" in that case- except it genuinely works here. All her friends gave her a chance and support, and Mike offered a do-over. At the end of it, Lucy was too scared of writing or calling and chose to nobly end her life than do such a horrid thing. It should've ended after Eternal Flame when it was confirmed that Mike will literally never dump Sandy no matter how awful or humiliating the relationship gets, and nothing Mike does to Lucy matters because all he has to do is offer a relationship and she'll be happy again.

Augustus would be internally terrified of Mike if he did that and would have to weigh whether trying to use it as a verbal weapon (because that's all he can do) against him is even worth chancing even if Mike looked rough about it. There's that possibility of trying to guilt trip Mike about it won't lead to what happened last time, but instead Mike just cracking his skull open out of the blue.

In such a scenario Augustus would probably aim to just take the win of Al getting taken out against all odds and pray Mike never found out he tipped Augustus off.

I won't lie I've been turning the idea of Mike having to kill Alejandro over in my head for a while. I'm not sure where you'd go from there but I like the idea, good angst fuel. What I usually go with is Mike deciding to run away for a while after this, not even necessarily because he actually thinks he'd get convicted of anything but because he knows people would believe him if he said he thought so and it's a chance to get away from everything. Picture that less as a cold calculation and more as a decision made half-consciously, emotionally, and very quickly in the immediate aftermath.

You have not even seen our full power anon. I've been pondering on what would be a Taeshi way to indicate that Mucy is actually a good thing, and I think I was able to replicate the mind of a BPD demon enough to come up with something.

His spergouts were emotionally driven attempts to assert control, so an already icy Mike is more likely to, say, flatly tell Augustus the opinions of a wannabe rapist don't mean much. I could see this as well, especially as part of a prolonged breakdown. Mike gets over the initial shock and the empathetic guilt starts to creep in, poisoning his outlook. Of course, with Mike on the run, there is no one around to slap him out of his delusion. No one who can get him to accept that doing what was necessary didn't make him a monster.
