I can imagine them becoming goddesses that require sacrifice quite easily, since it's basically a free, never-ending source of meal with no effort required. But they'd still need a lot of food, right? So the humans would have to breed a lot of large animals to fuel them. An elephant could keep a girl full for a day or so. A couple of cows or horses could do the same. With pigs, goats, sheep... probably more than a dozen. That's for Europe and Asia, I think the Americas would go much more wild. Do you think Romans would grow so powerful without having a giantess of their own?
