Sometimes I think about how having an ENF GF could hypothetically work, assuming the best possible scenario. On top of working on getting the database and stuff back up and running, they've also been some silly worldbuilding where personified versions of the servers that host older videos (Hime and Mikoto) are doing broadcasts while everything is down in "Iwara City". I'm currently following Saikyou Onna Shishou-tachi ga Ikusei Houshin wo Megutte Shuraba (and I only had to look up the middle part of the title that time!), which has reasonably frequent clothing damage but very little embarrassment over it. Other instances of clothing damage are generally similar. I suppose Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san weaves in ENF better than most, although hopefully everyone here at least knows of it. Likewise with Youkai Shoujo - Monsuga. Really, I've been looking for a proper successor to those two for a while now, especially with Jikan Teishi Yuusha apparently no longer being scanlated.

Dignity Dash, right? That game's got a lot of good ideas but it's a little too complex for my liking. I'd enjoy something more streamlined.

My basic idea is that you'd have some stats like Exposure, Embarrassment, Lewdness etc -- and the objective is to try to get back home first with the lowest of all the stats. Maybe have some modifiers that would make things better or worse for you, ways to sabotage opponents, etc.

But the base gameplay would be really simple. Basically Candyland or a maze game with branching paths. Shorter routes have more frequent dangers, longer routes have less but more punishing dangers.

Having three different stats is a neat idea but ultimately too cumbersome, and it's the same kind of ambitious but impractical thinking that makes dignity dash kind of messy. Having just one stat like "Dignity" as a health bar is a better idea. Maybe "Lewdness" could be the reversed version of the stat. Like, if you lose -10 Dignity while you already have 0, you instead gain +10 lewdness, and you have an entirely new objective etc.

How would you polish it a bit? I would probably get rid of the optional rules and the different types of spaces. Replace them with just two; event spaces and challenges spaces (where you roll a die for success or failure). I think I would keep the idea of items, but make them binary instead of a whole deck of mostly flavor text. You either have some makeshift cover or not.

I guess my version would be more labyrinthian, with many more dangerous shortcuts (like you would choose the street walk filled with events, or the longer bust mostly blank alley) and events that send you back or forward across the map.

I miss Kenichi. I loved the fights. I loved the ecchi. But I loved these scenes the most of the battle in which Ma Renka is stripped.
I started Matsuena Syun’s other work, Kimi Wa 006 and I quite liked it for what it is but it lacks something that Kenichi had in martial arts. Replacing the theme with spies doesn’t quite scratch the itch though I do like the ecchi in it

I hate it.
I know some of it was because of really bad quality raws (WHICH ALMOST NEVER GET CORRECTED LATER), but a lot of it was just bad taste.

This era of everything is churning out tons of everything and cutting them off just as fast. We get gems here and there but that’s it.
Isekai took the place of fantasy school harem but it grew exponentially and with advancements of tools and MTL so did the scanlation and people in for quick bucks. And all of the above works because there is an equally big demand from people that just doesn’t care.
There IS some incentive for for creativity but thousands of people that just want the curiosity or dopamine rush and moving to the next one. Quality of the content or medium is secondary to that.

My rant is mostly over, mangastream did that we every release, it is the topaz filter I was talking about.
Another famous criminal group was Red Hawk Scans (they did TWGoK and several other mangas), also just as bad, but there were probably many others doing that at the time.

Sadly a lot of people carry a mindset of "well, it's already done, who needs a higher-quality version". I hate that both official AND pirate streaming sites will forever lock in the TV broadcast versions of anime even if the Blu Ray is vastly improved, and you have to go out of your way to find someone who bothered to put the subs on the Blu Ray footage.

I think blu ray encodes are pretty common for just about anything though, maybe it's one of those things that's easier if you're on private trackers since they tend to be more autistic about archiving every possible format.

I just stick with raws. Most mangaka are visually competent and you know what's happening, and if you don't it takes 5 seconds to translate an image with Lens to at least fill in the gaps. The only negative is that I'm just so fucking up to date that the dry spells are actually 100% dry.
