Leather jackets aren’t currently effay, but they have always been an attractiveness filter, if you are ugly it will look cringe, if your are attractive it will look good. Since you are short, it will almost certainly look bad on you

This idea that leather jackets are some big mean scary thing that you just be a 6'5" motorcycle rider to wear is ridiculous
While I agree that Perfecto jackets look a little larpy if you don't ride a motorcycle or play in a rock band, there's still no rule that says you can't wear one if you want
And for non Perfecto styles like the one OP posted, those look completely fine and acceptable on anyone that is confident enough to wear them, but that rule applies to anything
Only thing I think looks really bad are cafe racer jackets because they scream. "2000s action movie wannabe tough guy"

Thats what I feared, Ive seen many manlets trying to dress nice and most of the time they end up looking ridicolous. At least I have self awareness.

Little men easily look overdressed or LARPy, because they have boyish proportions.
Your only option is to go basic, but clean.
But don't try to dress like a boy, a biker or whatever, kek.

There's some pretty cool leather jackets that rock the masculine style without showing off like a gay rockstars, but they are usually more expensive. Although they look clean there had to be in fact a lot of work put, in order to make them look effortless.
Pic for example

5’9 108lb perfecto enjoyer here, I’d argue that leaning into the obvious LARP isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it’s only cringe if you let it be such.
picrel my small collection of silver and leather custom pieces, jacket is a perfecto with oxidised silver hardware.

Yes, I wear a similarly styled A2 Aviator pretty regularly in the fall and I'm 173cm tall. I'm retired military so it fits with my look. When you select a jacket you should be asking yourself if it fits your lifestyle and represents who you really are. Eg I think biker jackets are cool but I would feel like a poser wearing one.
On my 41 years on this planet Ive never seen so many men obsessed over their height. Its kind of pathetic and woman brained behaviour. You should be a lot more concerned about how muscular you are and body fat %.

That takes into account older generations and third worlder immigrants
In White countries, avg height for Gen Z is 6'0 for traditionally shorter countries (mediterranean) and 6'2 for taller countries (germanics).

Moto jackets and plain ones just don't look good imo. The former is too tryhard and the latter too dull.

>I dont want to look like Im trying too hard
I get what you're saying but also you need to dial back on that attitude a little. Don't let what you think other people might be thinking stop you from being a bit more authentic

please stop asking for permission to exist. I'm one of the greatest stylists of my generation, I mog the chuds, and you can trust me when I tell you that in truth body types not being able to get away with a material is almost entirely made-up. when I play world of warcraft I never see a mog and think "this would NEVER work on a gnome" its just different proportions. you can safely ignore all advice that sounds like "X can't wear structured jackets". a large percentage of posters on this board are part of the incel looksmaxxer type of space and their framework is all about permission and not expression. so you don't have a lot to learn from making a thread here usually. the only way you can look as best as possible is by knowing you like things and pursuing them. you know full well how you look in a leather jacket if you tried one on. either you like it or you don't. you can't let weird nazis on /fa/ decide for you its bad. you need to become yourself. you are better than these dorks man

I live in a metropolitan area and see young people wearing them constantly. But I think a fair amount are Zara fake leather jackets. It’s a lot of the over sized 90’s style.

What’s wrong with my cafe racer? :(

Idk, I don’t think it’s that classless. It helps that I’m 6’1 with broad shoulders. I usually style it very basic: tucked in black or grey t shirt with Levi’s and black boots. For what it’s worth, I used to have a cross zip style jacket (pic rel), but I just don’t vibe with it enough. I may one day reacquire one, but I’ll custom design that one too like I did with my cafe racer.

get a mesh shirt so that you can wear it in slightly warmer conditions and extend the wear time
>>18651215
zipping up jackets is never a problem. you are supposed to zip up jackets or or leave lo them open according to function. if an outfit can't survive the zip it sucks. the jacket is obviously too tight in the shoulder area

Are Baracuta leather jackets any good?
They're made in India, is that an automatic no-no? It looks good to me

If I recall, Baracuta’s aren’t known for their leather jackets. I’d be cautious of the quality compared to the cost. I’m sure it wouldn’t be trash, but you may be better off thrifting.
I recommend Five Star Leather for affordable but still very high quality jackets

Sorry to say Anon, but this looks sick as hell and I’d wager the same fit with the cafe racer does not look as based

As long as you're not fat and the jacket actually fits you, you'll be fine. If females can look good in a leather jacket, then so can manlets.

What about a jacket like this? It reminds of Leon Kennedy but is not too obvious.
