Big coats are totally fine for any height at all. The issue is that most big coats are sized for someone 6'2 so of course they are going to look stupid on a shorter person. Coats are very on trend right now. Consider made to order or tailoring something off the rack if you cannot find a brand that is providing coats sized to your height. Asian brands are more likely to have coats around average actual height instead of top 10% heights.
