Very fun, job markets fucked all over but generally there's a good amount of support for C# jobs in back-end web-dev (a la MVC) especially in public sector since a lot of it is Microsoft/Azure.
Practical application is same as CPP, it's useful when you need an object-oriented language with garbage collection but it's a lot more intuitive than CPP.
