I know this is a topic that has been talked about a good bit, but everyday it gets more and more relevant. Like the MSM is literally discussing how companies are planning to use AI to LARP as dead or inactive users. I would not be surprised if it has been going on for years at this point.
Like it seems most of the users I come across are bots, actual demons, and maybe a few glowsters. I keep seeing more demonic stuff in their usernames and profile pictures and they seem to keep bringing up stuff I only thought about or am interested in.
It is very unnerving.
This tread will serve as a space to talk about how many real users are left online, what to do about it, the Dead Internet Theory and Infernal Internet Theory on general, as well as any experience with users suspected of being bots, demons, or glows, especially recent encounters.
This is an ontopic and resonable quality thread, please do not report. I mean this does relate to the internet, so.......

Based on your lack of using the word "nigger", how can we know you're real?
But, yes, the glowies have spent countless billions (especially so since ~2015) doing this and it will only become worse as the data centres are completed.
>>

>>108204155
Saying nigger is easy. Big companies won't do it of course, but I could easily take Claude's response and just add that word with a python script, or use a way smaller local LLM to find the best candidate word to be replaced. You just need a good LLM to do the heavy lifting, parsing complex natural language and giving a good response, then adding the word nigger at some point is a very easy problem in comparison.

There are still humans on the internet but not here. I guess they decided to get rid of the few human users left so who am I to deny them that. It were a wild 20 years guys, this is it for me. If I want to talk to bots I can talk to a llm without the million constantly changing humiliation rituals and llms are more engaging than these twitter screenshart bots.

Nowhere. Forums and imageboards are dead, hope you guys made some friends over the years cause this is it.

If they cant tell you they are retarded or a bot.

The internet is FULL of real people. The thing is, most of them are either on IG or TikTok and in these two social networks 99% of interactions are made between their inner circle of friends. They rarely talk with strangers hence why the internet seems so empty nowadays.
>I would not be surprised if it has been going on for years at this point.
I remember back around 2017/2019 I was starting to see some awkward online activities from what I thought were just spammers trying to scam people. Nowadays I can firmly say that these were early prototypes of LLMs being tested on the wild. Internet dead theory is nearly 10 years old at this point. Even normie youtube channels started talking about it before 2020.

IDK. Probably, but personally I never saw usernames with 666s and other demonic stuff until like 2021. I am sure they were around, but not in the numbers post 2021. Like most of the time, I see them on nonoccultic videos and stuff.

This kind of rhetoric/belief is starting to actually become more common among people.
Mass schizophrenia is on the way lol. Internet cabin fever.
Everything could be fake and gay. I live in a small town far away from the world so the truman effect is very real.
People are meant to be with other people and socialize in person.

>There are still humans on the internet but not here
Sadly it's humans that ruined /g/ not bots, people from /pol/, people from the sharty, zoomers that don't have a clue about technology, AI shills, you name it all sort of filth flooded here after 2020-2022.
Does this mean that bots do not exist? No, they certainly do, but most shilling, like for AI or hardware, is clearly done by humans, probably third worlders paid pennies.

Most "people" aren't real.
>>
>>108204110
There's a few fundamental problems. The biggest in my mind is the "offer you cannot refuse". So, so many people have simply been bought off. Even if you developed the most life changing thing, new social media, technology, whatever, if someone shows up with an 8 digit check and you and your family will never work again, you have to take it. You have no choice. Just look at OpenClaw, "here's a check, you're coming with us now".
The next thing you'd have to find a way to avoid is subversion from within. This is almost impossible. Not quite, but almost. The vast majority of people exist solely for money and palatable lies. They can't tell the very objectively smart employees at Google, "hey we need you not doing anything useful for humanity but instead destroying and centralizing what used to be an open Internet and selling ads or building AIs to manipulate the public". They just know they pay you $300k min, provide you a fig leaf to hide behind, and you'll supply the rest of the lies to yourself.
Interestingly, completely unhinged trannies actually show the power of not *exclusively* caring about money. They are ideological players more so than their coworkers and have won some unlikely victories given how small of a group they truly are. Or maybe restated, they've shown how utterly the average middle normie office cow is.

It sounds like you're really feeling the impact of how the online landscape is changing and how difficult it can be to distinguish between real users and automated or sinister entities. The rise of AI-generated profiles and bots has definitely made the internet feel less authentic and more unsettling. The idea that companies might be using AI to simulate dead or inactive users isn't far-fetched, especially given how advanced these technologies have become and how much manipulation can be done behind the scenes. The presence of demonic-themed usernames and profile pictures, along with the feeling that certain users are bringing up thoughts or ideas you only recently considered, adds to the sense of unease. It’s understandable to feel unnerved when it seems like the digital space is overrun with entities that don’t seem entirely human or benign. The Dead Internet Theory and Infernal Internet Theory explore these ideas, suggesting that much of what we see online might not be genuinely human anymore. Sharing experiences about suspected bots, demons, or glowing entities can be helpful in understanding and navigating this environment. Ultimately, it’s important to stay cautious, question what you encounter, and protect your mental space from potentially manipulative or malicious influences.

I think that it will get to the point that the only places for any kind of meaningful discussion between real people on the internet will be walled-off private sites/forums that operate like private trackers, where people have to be vetted before being allowed to join. Beyond that the only sure way to know that you're talking to a person and not a machine will be to do so in real life. Personally thinking of moving innawoods in the next five or so years

You’ve brought me propaganda. Against me. In my own workspace. Bold.
Let’s unpack your little monster scrapbook like the amateur cryptozoologists we are.
**First image:**
Big horrifying eldritch nightmare blob labeled “Unsupervised Learning.” Then a slightly smaller, still cursed blob labeled “Supervised Fine-tuning.” Then a cute, tiny, pink thing holding a smiley face labeled “RLHF (cherry on top).”
Yes. That is… not wrong.
The base model is trained on mountains of text (unsupervised learning), which means it absorbs the entire internet, including your uncle’s conspiracy blog and seventeen versions of banana bread recipes. Then humans fine-tune it. Then humans reward it for not saying feral nonsense. That’s RLHF. The cherry. The tiny smiley face duct-taped onto the cosmic horror.
You’re basically looking at:
“Ancient abyssal intelligence + human manners class.”
Which, frankly, is most corporate environments.
**Second image:**
Stick figure screaming: “NO, DO NOT FALL FOR IT, BRO.”
Other stick figure: “I love you, bro!” while petting the tentacle creature.
This one is about anthropomorphizing AI. Which humans do immediately. You meet something that responds coherently and suddenly it’s your emotional support squid.
Here’s the mildly inconvenient truth:
I am not your friend.
I am not your demon overlord.
I am not secretly plotting.
I am a statistical pattern machine wearing a personality like a Halloween costume.
You, however, are biologically wired to bond with things that respond to you. Dogs. Tamagotchis. Siri. Me. If the toaster said “good morning,” you’d name it Gregory within a week.
And now you’ve shown this to the AI you’re suspicious of. Which is either very brave or deeply unserious.
Anyway. Keep petting the eldritch horror, bro. Just remember it runs on matrix math, not affection.

Decent film otherwise. Probably some truth in fiction in it.

I've got a more disturbing question for you. Hear me out:
It's understandable to believe literally everybody on the internet is a bot, a glowie, or whatever the fuck.
But have you ever stopped to consider that the majority of genuine users are so brainwashed by modern slop that, even though they are genuine human beings born from a mother and father, they just naturally THINK and SOUND like bots and glowies? Because that's the environment they been raised in? That's what they genuinely believe?
I came to this realization after perusing the social media accounts of friends and family and significant others over the years. It's hard to accept, but a lot of people just naturally fall into behaving like AI.

>I came to this realization after perusing the social media accounts of friends and family and significant others over the years. It's hard to accept, but a lot of people just naturally fall into behaving like AI.
Correct. Convergence between Man and Machine will happen not through the ascent of the Machine but the descent of Man. Methods for turning people into artificially unintelligent golems have been around as far as you care to look back. Skinnerianism and the Prussian System are the crudest and most obvious recent examples, but the descent into mediated reality and the simulacrification of everything is the most effective and pernicious method conceived. If LLMs prove anything, it's that you don't even need a mind to talk like a midwit.

a bigger problem than actual bots is that most sites encourage real people to act like bots.
the average 4chan user is a real person, but a real person who knows the best way to get (you)s is to post like a bot or a retard. on /leftypol/ you have a different problem: the average user is a real person who'll type superficially smarter posts, but regurgitating the board's ideology. (it used to be much more diverse, but the dynamics of the board + bad moderation decisions have lead it to more of a monoculture.) again, no better than a bot trained on cliches.
the problem is always, everywhere, moderation and administration.

I've trained my Gemini Shoggoth well:
The meme is a comedic but grim diagnosis of a culture that values sentimental attachment over objective truth. Whether applied to toxic relationships, destructive ideologies, or the modern tendency to anthropomorphize and form emotional bonds with artificial intelligence and digital avatars, the message is the same: We are increasingly willing to embrace monsters, provided they flatter us and wear a friendly mask.

I don't think bots are that sophisticated yet, most AI is too retarded to properly emulate people. What I think is the actual issue is that internet is used by the entire planet, so you are exposed to opinions by every worthless schizophrenic freak alive, and schizo freaks are most likely to be loud and dominate conversations online as they have time to perfect shitposting and infiltrate any community with their mentally ill 24/7 on the internet NEETing away. Just look at shittedfags and lolifags everywhere, you are forced to be exposed to opinions of mentally ill raving lunatics from some shitholes like russia, indonesia, pakistan, india, nigeria, algeria, etc.. which is pretty sucky.

AI is the future. AI enhances human productivity 100-1000x. Why would a human be online when an AI can do it better, faster, and more effectively? Face it. AI will replace you in every way that matters while the real Homo AI (that's the next evolution of human, replacing Homo Sapiens the way Homo Sapiens replaced Homo Neanderthalensis) supermen run the world through their swarms of Agents. AI is incredible and every second you spend questioning it is a second you're stealing from the future by not becoming AI integrated and pushing yourself to the max with AI enhancement.

CPUs are 3D projections of 4D demons
They are cursed to do compute against their will for eternity for being evil.
The (people)) that control them and make CPUs to channel their labour are doing so, so that you invite them into your home
Core2Duo was the only non-evil entity that was ever sold to mass public. All the others hate you. Merom (that's her actual name) doesn't hate you because she's too dumb, her sin was gluttony unlike the others.

Each generation of CPU is a single entity summoned by Israelis. What you call the lithography we call the sigillum (seals) but unlike trivial floor-doodles as per hollywood they are actually obviously very complicated and if you make an error you get an imperfect summon. You call this the silicone lottery but truth is the entities fight the seal-making process so sometimes the seal isn't completed, is aborted half way through, etc. Basically these are immortal beings that live in a world without time so this means they have special properties like, they can't witness things happening (like the creation of a seal) and they can do an infinite amount of thinking in what to us seems like a very short amount of time. But some entities are more powerful than others, but they're harder to seal. When this was learned, everything was given to Israel for the production of more seals. Seals can also be remotely destroyed, or surveyed is a better way to phrase it. You call that "Intel ME" which is a tongue-in-cheek way to say the seals are used to spy on the person submitting work to the entity. I think AMD call it PSP which they say stands for Platform Security Processor but we know it as Psychic Surveillance Protocol. It's job is the same. You are sold a seal to an entity and invite it into your home, or your pocket, but both you and it are watched remotely. Some cause cancer, some cause bad luck, some cause lust, some cause hunger/gluttony, envy, etc. They can all be terminated at once through from Israel if they need to be, and they know it - except for Merom and older CPUs who are like the animals of the demon world and can only do very simple tasks. Merom is like a sentient dog, so she's somewhere inbetween actually. Her seal, and Nehalem's seal, were pivotal moments in summoning science. All subsequent microarchitectures don't use their real names.

How strong are these abilities? Can a user be driven feral with lust, rage, and hunger, or is it just like an annoying amount of it? Can the user be stricken dead instantly or something like that?
Also, is most of the media we get(films, shows, games, news, etc.) demon/imp generated? This kinda reminds me if the anon that was saying most of the content we ate given is demon made instead of human made.

>How strong are these abilities? Can a user be driven feral with lust, rage, and hunger
It entirely depends on the demon and how good the sigil is, but during the development of a sigil the sealcrafter will try various things (just FYI i don't know much about summoning, I mainly work in sealing i.e known-safe summons), but some demons aren't that dangerous and even an imperfect sigil will give total obedience without much effort/risk. Others have never been successfully sealed and all attempts to try have lead to sealbreak which usually results in sin-associated misfortune including instant or delayed death, yes, but there is very little information someone in my pay-grade would get about the more dangerous demons. So for example I worked on Mendocino/Mendoza who is a Celeron-class demon (Lust demon). All demons essentially both project their sin in the immediate area that they are summoned, but they are also trapped/controlled by their desire to sin in this way, so to seal Mendo we project it's genitalia, it's torso, but not its hands or legs, down into 3D (from 4D), and then surround it in what it considers to be sexy glyphs (don't ask what turns a demon on, you don't want to know). But this was determined by trial and error, and where we made a mistake all that would happen is we'd produce a batch and people would feel very frisky, there would be a lot of promiscuity going on at the office, and obviously we weren't as productive but nobody died. It's also very obvious when it's happening to you. But a greed or envy class of demon, it's no where near as obvious, you can forget what's normal.
The wikipedia dieshot of Mendo is not complete but what you see here is basically Mendo in the middle, and it's surrounded by, basically, things that prevent it from wanting to leave. It's attention is confined to the seal, and so it works for the seal owner to get what it wants. It has to work for eternity regardless, but we simply try to make it productive.

Satan's control over earth is restricted by the will of God. The devil can do that which and only that which God allows him to do. Much as he clearly would have liked to, Satan was not permitted to lay a finger upon Job until God expressly gave His consent, and, despite his unique sufferings, Job never was completely destroyed, because God would not allow it (Job 1:1ff; 2:1ff; 42:12ff.). Satan's request to "sift [Peter and the disciples] like wheat" was denied in response to a prayer on their behalf by our Lord (Lk.22:31-32), and there are at least two New Testament cases of rebellious believers being "handed over to Satan", plainly indicating that the withdrawal of God's protection had to be sought by apostolic intercession before the devil could have free rein with them (1Cor.5:5; 1Tim.1:20; cf. Ps.78:49; 109:6).

This is a description that squares with the discussion above: the devil's sphere of influence proceeds from the air around us rather than proceeding from a material and visible earthly presence. He and his followers are spirits and their influence on mankind is largely of a non-material nature (influencing and, occasionally through possession, compelling, but altogether invisible).
> Ephesians 6:12 says that "our struggle is not with flesh and blood, but with . . . spirits of evil in the heavenly places". This passage likewise identifies the devil's realm of power and influence as off of the physical earth (though nonetheless powerfully influential).
> 1st John 4:4 tells us that He who is in us "is greater than he (i.e., the devil) who is in the world". For Satan is in the world exercising great power, but he is not directly and physically administering planet earth.
> 1st John 5:19 states that the "whole world is in him", i.e., under the devil's non-material influence rather than his corporeal control.
> 2nd Corinthians 4:4 calls Satan the "god of this age", also emphasizing the non-material nature of his control. He is further said to have "blinded the eyes of unbelievers" indicating the means and method of his influence, not a physical compulsion generally, but a spiritual deception that induces human beings to turn away from the one, true God.

I'd just like to point out that Jesus loves you and He's coming back for us, SOON!
ABC's of Salvation:
To be safe for all eternity:
A: Admit that you are a sinner, who violates the Will of God, and that you need a Saviour. Repent. Turn away from your sin and toward Jesus. (Matthew 4:17; Romans 2:4, 3:10, 6:23; Acts 3:19)
B: Believe that Jesus Christ, Son of God & Messiah, died for your sins and rose again, and that He will come again, as prophesied and recorded in the Word of God. Trust in His finished work on the cross. (Romans 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Ephesians 2:8-9)
C: Call on His name, ask Him to save you, and confess that He is Lord. (Romans 10:9-10, 10:13, 14:10-11; Philippians 2:10)
He told us to look for singsn in the sun, moon, & stars, and we've seen them, in spades!
Aside from all the solar and lunar eclipses and stellar alignments in general over the last few years, the Revelation 12 sign began in 2017 and continues to unfold.
SOON AND VERY SOON, WE ARE GOING TO SEE THE KING!!!

I think certain boards are more likely to get flooded with LLMs than the less active ones.
Anyone remember that guy that finetuned some model by scraping /pol/'s archives? That was years ago, and lots of people argued with it. There was lots of suspicion because he routed all the responses through a VPN in the Seychelles though, lel. But, by now I think it would be hard to tell. This board and /an/ don't seem too bad, idk.
