>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
You must include a screenshot of your DAW - this is to verify the track is not stolen or AI-generated.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included.
You may also add a pseudonym to be included in the track metadata, but it must not be one you already use on music platforms.
Songs that violate YouTube's policies won't be uploaded there, but they will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your song. Light-touch mastering is sometimes applied to improve the consistency between tracks.
Use of AI is banned - This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is prohibited. We rely on trust.

Yeah, could have made a screenshot, but I was...busy.
It runs over this, also Behringer, so I expected worse.

I also have a Traktor 10 if I want to be more autistic with recording quality.
Btw, that: >>108240589 is under the table to the right here: >>108240298
On top is the 303, and on that is a tablet with remote control for the mixer.
Which is neat.

I can plug in an electric guitar, or record something acoustic, regular guitar, whatever.
For when friends are over.
The APC64 allows for some flexibility with Live. I just start building shit, great fun.

It also has 8 CV outs...for some reason.
So, hooking it up with the 303 seems like a thing to do.
A complicated thing.
But I can control them from Live, might be interesting.

I have been writing music for a long time, but with a piano roll. I would like to get into composing with trackers as there are so many portable ones (picotracker, m8, LSDJ, etc) but I struggle with the workflow. For those of you that do both or have moved from piano roll to tracker, what helped you smooth through the transition? The biggest thing I struggle with is writing beyond a phrase. Like with a piano roll, I can see so far ahead and look at my entire melody as a whole. With a tracker phrase, I get 16 lines, and I struggle. Thanks for any help, anons.

The projector is up for shit and giggles.
It's currently just running videos from festivals.
To motivate me to keep my eyes open.
I also forgot how good it can look.

Well, it's also very frowned upon to hit, say, on women, in classical ways there.
You can't do that.
Ok, you can, but nobody will like it.
The accepted way is to connect it with dancing. Or, alternatively, be talkative at resting spots where people hang out.
>>108245825
Thanks, I'm so old, Geiss used to be a thing.
>>
>>
>>108245878
yeah i know. you are probably publically shamed if you try to hit on a woman in that environemtn nevermind touching her. whereas back in the day, it was somewhat normal to just grind on a random girl in a dark seedy club. sigh, the good old days
>>
>>108245967
>just grind on a random girl in a dark seedy club.
Yeah, but a dark seedy club and an open air psytrance festival are two pretty different things.
You can still do the seedy club thing probably too.
>publically shamed
The info that this is the guy hitting awkwardly on everything looking loosely female gets around quick indeed,
You'll just get negative answers though...but maybe some even would be into it. Hmmm.
But, the info goes around, yes.

For me, I enjoy making nice things.
If other people like them, even better.
That's fine, and enough.

any advice for making my melodies less "stock?" its hard to explain but maybe because chords and melody lines seem to fall in predictable places, things tend to feel a little more like a backing track and less like original music.

In retrospective, the strengths of vinyl, for a dj, were haptics and optics.
It's nice to touch and work with when you're mixing. You can see how the song is structured, breaks and such.
A bit ironic for a sound medium of course.

So I can start building a song live, I can route all the new elements to my headphones first until they're ready, then they go on the main out.
Neat.
Really, really neat.
I can work with that.

And in a scenario with prepared songs, I can rearrange, extend, add...and drive dancers totally nuts.
Those poor people, they never had a chance.
