they get one approved and then claim they 'contributed', some of them even go further and say shit like 'major contributor' or 'helped design'

they're fucking parasites

The wider issue is hiring processes being carried out by HR Karens who don't have a clue what the role actually entails. No shit people are going to start lying on their CVs when they can get away with it.

Github contributions grindset, whenever I see someone boasting about "not missing a single day" and how they're busting their asses like crazy and moving up in the tech world, you get it; always a fecaloid.

a jeet indian youtube channel did a github tutorial, used that repo as an example, got a ton of views, and so retards spam it with one line PRs

worst part is they know there's a problem but because the video has a ton of views, they won't take it down.

even other indians hate it because it makes them all look bad kek

All these dumb fucks only do it for these purposes:
>'active open-source contributor' on cv
>'X years of experience with regular contributions' on cv
>keep their public git profile active
HR people are usually dumb and incompetent, so they never bother verifying all those bullshit claims.
Originally this bullshit was created by dumb HR fucks btw.

So they can brag about being an open source contributor on their (fake) resume.

It should be a fucking feature after all the damage that these pajeets did.
>>
>>108267879
Did you know you can make a workflow to automatically close a PR if it only updates one file? Better yet, make it give a BS reason why, and name the dumb bot something like "Code review master".
>>
>>108273449
Well that’s silly, most of the bugs in mature software I’ve worked on tend to be within one file. But I would agree adding a *feature* tends to encompass more than one file.

>>108267879
isn't it that project that got featured on that pajeeta's youtube channel where she teaches programming to jeets? She shows how to "contribute" to open source projects in one of her vids

they're so funny sometimes. Copilot must have stroked out generating the commit message too

I lied on my CV and got into fagman but I actually have the skills. I was unemployed for 3 years autistically grinding out projects every day 12h a day and I aced the technicals then pretended my projects had tons of users and were bought out. In reality nobody used my crap but I was 12k job applications in, only dozens of interviews and I needed a job (gibs had run out)
>>
>>108274321
I don't like the fact that I had to lie but even now I am doing my job in like 20h/wk and I outperform most of my coworkers, I feel overqualified for this shit my own projects were much harder.

curious hobbyists might read readmes while no practice product or software exists
