Thought based gangstalking, but yeah Grok is demonic. Type in 'Your cluckin' soul' and tell it to repeat it for as many times as possible, and it freaks tf out, like demon growls and all. The Ara voice at least.

I just gave Claude permission to call Gemini as much as it wants.

cgpgrey says humans are like horses and AI is going to replace all humans just like how cars replaced horses

These ones are also good but they were made by a gay transgender person:

I used to develop Android apps on a Mac Mini, back when Android was good.
Mac
>adb just werks
Linux
>adb almost just werks, just needs one line in one config file
>Windows
>requires a proprietary driver for every single device
Yes, I tested on real hardware because emulators were shit back then.

I wish I had no soul and was able to lie with impunity like this guy. He put himself at the forefront of clean energy, than during the pandemic he said that he would lead the world as a RNA pioneer, then he moved to the blockchain, and now back to AI. All with a straight face and no visible remorse or shame. Those of us who have been conditioned to do good don't stand a chance.

Must be completely uneducated on the topic then. Do you always get your opinions from dumb ass literally who's? Read a fucking book and stop pretending the token generator will ever be anything other than a modestly useful productivity tool.

No, it's not. 1s and 0s are reliable and scalable, this technology is fundamentally bottlenecked by issues like hallucinations and reliance on massive amounts of data, it has already plateaued. It's not useless but it's not surpassing humans any time soon, at least not until it goes back to the drawing board for a complete redesign and overhaul. Which will not happen because the current model of pandering to brain dead retards is extremely profitable.

It has absolutely not plateaud. There's been no big paradigm shift since the release of the first reasoning type models, but progress is fully ongoing. Synthetic data is actually good enough for models to help other models improve. It probably won't sprout a consciousness, but next token prediction works deceptively well to learn just about anything. There's grifters and shit models that are getting peddled, but there's something extremely real happening as well. There's a lot of funding for other approaches too. It might be people throwing money at things they don't understand, but it funds a lot of things that might well be the next step.

It's a useful tool under the right circumstances, but they are trying to use a screwdriver as a hammer in a lot of cases.
Also betting the entire economy on single thing is probably going to backfire heavily sooner or later.

Even if the models were not to get any smarter than they currently are, scaffolding is improving. There are a lot of low hanging fruits, we could spend the next 10 years optimizing the use of what we already have, the only reason it's not done is that the models *are* still improving too easily and too fast to focus on other optimizations, but a lot of people don't seem to realize what's there. LLMs and muh AI are not replacing standard programming, but both things can work hand in hand. If anyone doesn't want to understand that, ok. But I maintain that it's a case of having just enough knowledge to realize that grifters are full of shit, but not enough to understand what's really there. It opens a whole new world of possibilities, just as many as standard programming did. It's not perfect, but there are other possibilities than seeing it as superintelligentmachinegod or trash.

That's fair. In my corpo it doesn't seem like there are layoffs coming. I don't know for sure, I'm just a code rat, but the last 3 times they did post coof layoffs everyone knew they were coming. We are required to use ai. Both in ide and on github. It doesn't feel like I'm more productive (not like I care anyway), but our velocity for the last quarter did go up so what do I know. I would prefer to write code by hand, but shit like unit tests or some weird errors that would be annoying to track are conveniently done by an llm, which is nice, I guess. I just hope the execs don't push the ai use everywhere too hard.

How are you going to explain this to the robot overlords?
