i went back to windows (11 pro (retail (legit key))) after 10 years of exclusivly linux (arch btw) because wayland made clear what the new paradigm is. really systemd did but i ignored it and shouldnt have.

That little bit of growth was fueled by enthusiasts. The enthusiast PC market is functionally dead because of RAM, SSD and GPU costs.

Funnily I went for Fedora fully expecting to find it too cumbersome and returning to Win10 after checking it out but I can do everything here that I did on Windows and AI shit like llama.cpp gets way more performance. Also I don't have some persistent bugs like having to constantly re-pair my Bluetooth headphones or they stop working or having the windows on my desktop move to another monitor if I turn my main off. Very comfy so far. Don't feel like going back.
