Even india is down to 4.91%, they had 10-15% in the last years. Wtf is happening?

Why is Chrome OS counted separately from Linux despite being a direct derivative of Gentoo?
>>
waygnome is working, thanks fedora for keeping us gatekept

Anon, I'm a gnutard myself, but this is cope

You were looking at servers and bots. When Cloudflare started filtering those more heavily, the incentive to run more linux servers wore off.
>>
linux is just a meme and windows ltsc mogs it
no wonder why it keeps getting botted by hacker elites
>>
>>108271886
>mogs
heck off dude

>Unknown 16.59%
amazing statistics, i have 100% confidence in their correctness.
>>
>>108271754
big sudden changes are usually bc of change of the methodology of the data adquisition
>>
>>108271754
>how did it drop
People used it and saw how shit it is. Then went back to W10 IoT LTSC
>>
>>108272009
what's shit about it jagjeet?
>>
>>108271925
>>108271987
Makes sense, that would explain the sudden rise of "unknown". + I think it's mostly safe to assume that unknown is something like Linux or BSD, hiding their useragent, at least half of unknown.
>>
>>108271886
>>108272009
10 IoT LTSC is def. one of the better Windows, but it won't last forever. I don't even hate Windows, I just don't like the current direction M$ is going. It will only get worse from now on and it seems like Linux is the only choice.

>>108271773
this, kek.
people realized that you still dont have just works adobe, office and anticheat and went back
>>
>>108271754
People moved to Linux in mass after Win 10 dropped support, but then they realized that Linux is shit so they bit the bullet and went back to Win 11.
>>
>>108272642
I'm in the same boat. I mean all my shit werks, but I can't play LoL or Battlefield. I switched to Bazzite Linux in January, but I have FOMO and maby I'll switch back to debloated Windows.

good, i don't want normalfags invading linux
>>
>>108271754
unironically people realized Linux has too many roadblocks.
It was the perfect opportunity for Linux to rise to the top, windows dropped the ball massively, and yet no distro could seize the moment to make a "just works" OS (specially for gaymers). And even Valve got cockblocked when it was "this close".
Shameful really.

I predict the current status quo will be broken and change into the funniest and most unexpected outcome

Most of them went back to Windows 11 Home.

Nadella wins again.

is that thing android? if so then it's the most logical outcome, firsties will use mac and thirdies will use that thing

It's not and it's not linux neither. china's harmony OS with a micro kernel. it can run android apps using built in android emulator.

i went back to windows (11 pro (retail (legit key))) after 10 years of exclusivly linux (arch btw) because wayland made clear what the new paradigm is. really systemd did but i ignored it and shouldnt have.
>>
That little bit of growth was fueled by enthusiasts. The enthusiast PC market is functionally dead because of RAM, SSD and GPU costs.
>>
>>108271754
because linux fucking sucks anon. i'm sorry, i tried to defend it for years. it just fucking sucks. i want to support it. i hate windows but for the real world workplace it's just fucking unavoidable. apple makes me look like a gay rich faggot and i don't like that. i don't know what to tell you man. it sucks. everything is gay.

Funnily I went for Fedora fully expecting to find it too cumbersome and returning to Win10 after checking it out but I can do everything here that I did on Windows and AI shit like llama.cpp gets way more performance. Also I don't have some persistent bugs like having to constantly re-pair my Bluetooth headphones or they stop working or having the windows on my desktop move to another monitor if I turn my main off. Very comfy so far. Don't feel like going back.
>>
>>108274451
Same here, I initially switched for better AMD AI support. Sudo dnf in rocm.

Operating systems are platforms for other software and Linux is a shit platform for commonly used software.

what is the issue with wayland? is not it trying to fix the messy unix phylosophy garbage that keeps linux behind from advancing?

It was over inflated anyway. No way 3.5% use Linux.
