Holy shit, kill yourself you fucking retarded zoomie.
Windows Phone was just as closed as Apple. You couldn't sideload apps, not even your own, you had to pay $100/year to have a developer license if you wanted to install your own apps. Windows Phone was literally what Android is becoming now, it never was anything else. Had it succeeded, we would had the exact same "freedom" we'll have after this summer where you can only use your phone exactly like a big corpo in California specifically allows.

You're so fucking stupid it's genuinely depressing, just delete this thread and stop embarrassing yourself. If you want to talk about how at least 7 was a finished product instead of a permanent pre-alpha shit like 11 is today, just write about that, but don't talk about shit you clearly don't understand.

You literally could install anything you wanted on windows phone

that would require to not have been absolute shit

Oh, yes, you could install anything you wanted, out of the two apps on the Marketplace. Haha, but even if it was completely useless as a smartphone at least you could copy music from your computer to use it as a music player... as long as you installed fucking Zune on your computer to manage the files because it didn't support MTP like every fucking Android phone to have ever existed.
I had a Nokia Windows Phone. It was the most beautiful yet most absolutely useless piece of shit phone I ever had. I ended up replacing it with the cheapest chink phone I found to get back to Android, and the chink phone with less than half the ram and a processor slow as hell still felt infinitely more useful because at least you could use it instead of just staring at the epic animated tiles.

I'm so fucking tired of you inbreed retards thinking that only because you didn't live something it was some kind of wonderful gift from the gods. It wasn't. Windows Phone was literally what Windows is trying to become now. The only reason it took so long for Windows to start becoming the shit it is now is because the failure of Windows Phone delayed them and they decided to make the enshittification more gradual not to make people run away.

You had to pay for basic apps.

his arm pits were simply too sweaty. it's offputting and not befitting of a tech ceo so he had to go
>>
>>108292845
Weird that you didn't mention Windows 8. Or that the direction and development of Windows 10 was set on his watch. Must have slipped your mind.

And then invariably if Windows Phone was popular for those reasons you'd probably start seeing Microsoft wanting to monetize their user base more and isolating the environment more in order to drive traffic to some official storefront.

>was the chief executive officer of Microsoft from 2000 to 2014
what the fuck I swear it was more like late 2000s to late 2010s

I was especially sad they killed Nokia to make the Microslop Slopphone.
Nokia made beautiful hardware and were working on a really nice Linux based operating system of their own (Maemo).

And Microslop does this all the time: buy nice company just to destroy it and its products.
Deliberate actions to prevent people from having nice things so they're forces to use Microslop garbage.

Yeah but then when Nutella was CEO they turned into a trillion dollar company and their cloud services exploded, that's why that insane motherfucker gets so much leeway with his AI schizophrenia.

Satan's Nutella ruined windows.
White people are simply better.
>>
>>108294061
When Nutella talks he sounds like a midwit who doesnt have a clue about microsoft or technology. He never say anything meaningful. Maybe he is just a diverse face for the company and he let others (whites and chinks) to make the hard decisions.

CEOs of public traded companies have one (1) job: increase share price.
If he could do that by shitting in a bag and selling it, he'd be the best CEO. Tech is irrelevant.

i just realized MS started runtime experiments quite early, like

jscript ~~~ could become NODE
vbscript
wsh script

the problem those were windowed subsystem by default and node/python are consoles by default (better for debugging)

Yeah, that's how it works.
