Most stupid motherfucker design I have ever seen.
These numbers are stupid from an engineering perspective. If you have any idea what makes circuits efficient, then you would know that 9GB is just a stupid sales point and actually making a 9GB anything would be a completely pointless waste of time. No confidence.

Sounds like you don't know what you are talking about. Nintendo 64, the world's first 64 bit consumer computer, had 9 bit bytes. And it was the most revolutionary console of all time and the most powerful until 2006.
>>
I won't bother explaining why 9GB is stupid because it takes too long. But rest assured I know what I'm talking about, this is a scam.
My fear is that the scammers will learn how to talk like an actual engineer when they are not.
Really they need to be booted from the company.
As of right now everybody who does not know what they're talking about will say 9GB. It just makes it easier to fire everyone who is NOT an engineer.

You can cope and seethe all you want, I know it's a scam you nigger.
You cannot fool those with divine knowledge.
As of right now all my predictions have come true, including the various tech crashes and slow downs, I am a literal oracle.

I not only have divine knowledge, but I also have divine intellect.
9GB niggers will never be better than 8GB and by the time a piece of RAM beats 16GB it will be 64GB only being twice as fast as 16GB.
You cannot defeat divine intellect nigger.

I don't use a graphics card, I can run 40 3D games in parallel.
Every person in NVIDIA should be jailed indefinitely and every programmer who makes their game require a graphics card should be treated like the Indo-chinaman they are.

Even if it's 3GB modules it doesn't matter
Mixed density has been a thing longer than most of the retards in this thread.
Nvidia could make arbitrary memory sizes for any card with a mixture of 1GB, 2GB or 3GB modules.

My 1080 ti I bought a decade ago has 11GB it doesn't do ray-tracing but I haven't had a game that absolutely requires it that I really wanted to play yet. Why would I statistically downgrade to newer hardware?

It's a decent card if you're looking for something modern that's low profile (single slot or dual slot) and doesn't require additional power from the PSU.
There's not many options out there that are better than the 3050 for that specific niche. AMD doesn't have a great offering for low-profile cards outside of HP/Dell/Lenovo OEM shit they put out like 10 years ago.
A full size 3050 however is a joke. The only justification for one of those is if you got it for free I suppose.

>9gb
what kind of giant pile of defect silicone crap made them go with this abomination?
this is like a parody. 8gb is outrageous, they know it, but going with 9 like 'see goyim? we listen'
this is a fucking insult.
and its a 50 card. 50 cards have been giant pile of trash since the 20xx series.
basically unsellable defect byproducts. an iq test and insult to intellect.
someone put the jensen niggerchink out of its misery. someone luigi his ass.

2024 3050 6gb is a good workstation card and the fan never goes over 40% rpm it is pretty much silent and always runs way under 70 degrees celsius even at 100% loads.
Okay I understand I'm sounding like a shill but that's not the case.
I don't need a gayming card with 400W intake.

Respected Sir,
I am wishing to humbly submit one different perspective from Indian side only. All this tension of constant shortage and strategy confusion would be completely solved if Nvidia simply looks to India for their next technical leadership.
India is having 140 crore population, meaning we have at least 2 crore natural engineers with computer passion, only they are currently doing office duty in IT support and call centers. Our ancient Bharatiya engineering wisdom from the yantra shastras gives us innate understanding of lithographic systems without needing any foreign training. An Indian CTO would bring both the technical knowledge and the stable, grounded mindset that Nvidia is currently missing with all these product changes every 1-2 years creating tension only.
India is best in world for software development, which Nvidia desperately needs for their driver and software mess. Our IT engineers could fix their entire electronic architecture in six months only, working from home on Indian time. And they would work for one-tenth the salary of Taiwan engineers, saving Nvidia crores of rupees while delivering superior results.
The "Michael Kagan" approach of a passionate engineer is good, but imagine the passion of someone who grew up fixing android and ipad with jugaad on Indian roads. That is true engineering survival instinct, not just bench day enthusiasm only.
Kindly make one video on why Nvidia's next CTO should be from India. We are all waiting for your positive revert on this matter.
Thanking you,
A well-wisher from India.
Jai Hind

That's good to hear.
I think energy efficient GPUs are underrated. Not all people need a 800-1000W PSU to have a good performing PC. (I think 400-500W is the sweet spot for something middle of the road, but that's just me)

The AMD/Intel equivalents will cost less and have more VRAM. Why bother manufacturing overpriced cards nobody wants to buy? It must be part of some OEM deal where this card will be included with terrible office/school PCs.
