The bloatware that subsidizes it ensures that it runs like trash out fresh out of the box, and windows telemetry will gobble up whatever memory you manage to free by deleting it. don't even get me started on the leftover trackpads from the 90's that they are still putting in these things

What is locked down in MacOS is what you don't need anyway unless you're a homosexual

when I bought my air m1 I ran it up to an uptime of 700 days with no issues, no crashes, no slowdowns, the UI was at all times fluid and performant, the fucking chip running at room temperature, MacOS is just rock-fucking solid stable, though I never upgraded to Tahoe
but the experience has converted me, anyone who says its a slow or bad system is a coping fucking shitskin and you'll never convince me otherwise. These are very good machines.
