Microsoft permanently suspends your accounts, when you get hacked.
And have the audacity to tell you to make a new account and re-purchase what you previously had.

I just think you should know this before spending any more money on your MS account.

And no, this is not my account.

Despite Minecraft being mentioned here, the account was mainly used for saving data in Onedrive, the person that used it is self-employed and had work related documents saved there.

So this is even worse than just losing some fucking game.

Wow that's interesting! Now show me the 20 retarded security protocols bypassed, the intentional dumbassery that occurred to cause this email. A Microsoft account has like 3x sign ins you have to go through to login on a different computer and 2fa is almost mandatory, so what did you do OP?

This. I can't even sign into my account without it sending a code to an authenticator on my phone, if I'm trying to login somewhere that my biometric data isn't available. And if I have NEVER signed in from that location before, it also wants to call/text me with a code and send another to my email.

>when you get hacked.
but it's not you getting hacked is it? it's you being a retard downloading ADOBE_PHOTOSHOP_8_KEYGEN.RAR.EXE, double clicking it and ignoring seven warnings
i hate microsoft as much as anyone here but they're basically saying that the user is retarded and can't be trusted with that account anymore, which isn't far from the truth

It's a reply to a service request, my guess being OP's friend tried to login and couldn't, and a password reset wouldn't work either so they submitted a service request ticket and this was the reply to it. Phishing is rarely about getting fresh unused accounts; notice that's the only link in the email - creating a new account - they'd much rather gain access to the account that has all the data, address books, billing info, etc.

t. phisher for massive multi cell carding ring for many years until the feds caught up with me and I copped a deal
