I have been using BlueClover with the webview hack to lurk the site and occasionally post since not being able to upload imaged and having the captcha reset on every thread is annoying as fuck. Learning that someone fixed Clover AND updated the code to make it easier to maintainin the future (this is why K1 decided to make KurobaEx from scratch and why Ponydev ragequit) has made my day.

it's better than chance, because chance is a stuttering mess

It's so good. Otacoo is the hero we don't deserve. There's now pinned searches with the newest update. I was thinking grouping all searches under a single bookmark might be more efficient.

Also custom theming is a feature. Although I don't have artistic talent so I'll copy someone elses. Yotsuba remains the GOAT imo.

regular kuroba doesn't allow you to post (not sure if ex works) so there's that.
clover unfortunately is missing a lot of kuroba features.

Lovin it.

How is Clover compared to Chance these days?
I have been using Chance for a long time but I'm unable to post on a cellular connection on it and the dev refuses to even look at the problem or let alone fix it. Thinking of switching if Clover is supported well enough.

It works and doesn't look and feel like shit. Instead, it feels just as it always has. Snappy, simple, intuitive.

The good:
+ Posting text and images works. Previously it was impossible without a pass.
+ Everything about the captchas works fine.
+ Sorting boards alphabetically makes more sense than the old list.
+ It has the same interface of (Blue)Clover without weird changes that can't be disabled.
+ Battery usage seems to be a bit lower compared to BlueClover.
The bad:
- There are issues with images. The app freezes for a moment when it opens and closes a file, and images can't be zoomed in.
- The entire thread refreshes when you open it from the catalog or from the bookmarks, and sometimes when a new post is made.
- Sometimes the watcher doesn't update when new posts are made and seen until you open a different thread and return to the previous thread.

Wish the image issue would get fixed (stuttery opening/closing, some images like OP's display strangely and can't be zoomed in), but apart from that it's great.

For the image issue just reinstall the first version of the fork until our guy fixes it

I'm still using Blue with the webview since moving over settings and bookmarks isn't easy without root but I'm glad someone is bringing it back

Kuroba EX works but solving the captcha is a mix between pattern recognition and luck, since the shape you're supposed to identify isn't displayed. Some patterns allow you to tell immediately which one to single out, but in some scenarios there can be two unique figure patterns and you need to guess which is the one asked by the captcha. It's kind of fun but very cumbersome. No idea how it is on clover

v3.1.1 (the one before the dev rewrote a lot of old code) doesn't present this issue. If the captcha doesn't break this version I'll stay on it until the issue with the images is fixed.
