I didn't fucking ask for all these people to visit because I made something they liked, I was just trying to run a site for something that I thought should exist.

If your shit is coded so badly that loading your site also loads 50mb worth of libraries and external js you should be charged by the byte instead of per TB.
If you have an IQ above room temperature so your shit isn't the underlying problem go to a provider that isn't a hyperscaler that charges you per TTOP rotation.

I'm willing to pay more when I consume more but generating web traffic isn't something I'm triggering, it's something happening to a site that I was running.
MattKC had his site briefly taken offline because a bunch of ByteDance web crawlers hammered it repeatedly and flooded him out. It wasn't intentional on either side but it still happened and the webhost held him responsible.
