This shit is the bare minimum not being done. If you just slap an audio track onto your video file with no creative edits, you didn't really do any editing. If you want to get really technical, you don't HAVE to sync everything to the beat, but if your visuals don't interplay with the music in some fashion, you contributed nothing.
Not gonna lie, when people just leave the original audio in, or leave in moans with no consideration for how that sound works with the music, I get tilted. Music video editing, erotic or not, is about putting your audio and visual elements together in an interesting way, and not actually giving your choices thought is lazy and ends in low quality results.

Here the lack of beat syncing is one of the many things on a list of flaws with the video and has absolutely nothing to carry it.

Having a theme is good, and it's good source picks, but some of the animation speeds are wonky, and some of the spots where you used the original audio are kind of baffling. Not one of my favorites, but I've seen worse (and I've seen you do worse).
Props to you for the credits section at the end, though. Holy fuck, there are too many HMVs that don't cite their stuff enough. And even though I don't like people slapping an intro on the front of things, and your last screen holds for way too long, not putting names on things has caused some HMV editors to basically be lost information at this point.

I think the matter with this is that people aren't choosy enough. An HMV is fine without any of the original audio put in to begin with, and editors should be very selective about when to insert any of it in. Like how the other elements come together, audio like moans or bits of dialogue should only really be there if it adds something to what you're trying to cultivate. Sometimes, the original audio also clashes with the music in peoples' works, fighting for space in the listener's ears, which drags things down.

There are plenty of good hmvs in there. Probably also a lot of videos where it's the highest quality you can find of them. What I ended up doing 2 years ago was just checking every single video and copying the ones I liked to a personal archive and then going back through to check uploads of each individual editor for higher quality and also newer uploads.
Not really a way to get around doing that without potentially missing something. Also, the compendium torrent isn't the best but it's what we have until an anon decides to make a new one. Be grateful we have it.

I'm still trying to build a narrative feeling with it. You can think of the opening filter as representing the wife's sexual repression at the start — paired with the BGM intro, I feel it sets the mood perfectly and lets you get immersed in her "sexual liberation" journey as it progresses.

Pic related, I'm working on some python script with a GUI for Davinci Resolve Studio 20 (most code done with AI).
The goal is to ease loops detection/creation.
Before I was creating speedpoints manually for every loop I could find by moving the playhead manually.
The script intend to help by setting markers on timeline for every loop in the subclip.
You just need to set start and end frame of loop and it will count the frames in the loop.
Then you click the button to add marker and there you go, you have markers on your timeline for every loop in the actual clip.
Anybody interested in this kind of tool ?

I already have something set up that can check for loops, just drags video onto script, checks a set span of max frames and finds something that matches first frame based on PHash then SSIM with threshold.
Very simple and very effective. And it creates temporary lossless videos of those loops for use in editing.
I think it would make life a lot easier for a lot of editors, but you should probably have gone something along my route so it works with literally every video editor, not just one.

Yeah basically just that. But technically, as long as you don't change the source video or any of the code, you could just recreate the loops and have a project file in whatever editor that uses them.
It would be of course so much better if every single video editor would simply allow you to base everything off of a database or a simple textfile that shows the timestamp of every loop, then you just drag that section into the timeline.
But unfortunately that is not the case. Though with a good CPU, it doesn't take an absurd amount of time to process one full video and most of the time people don't come back to a project.
Maybe that's for a future project, making a custom video editor that uses ffmpeg and MPV, which can work exactly how I want. Though of course you'd lack "fancy ass" effects that more professional editors have.
Though I have successfully before been able to have code that creates transition, fade and zoom effects (hmv remaking script).
Shouldn't be too difficult, with how good AI has become.

Just updated my script and now it works much much faster.
Tested on a 17 min long hentai episode, earlier script took 2 min 40 sec, roughly 2 min of those were hashing and SSIM comparing, 40 sec extracting each clip.
Now I've got it down to 1 min 40 sec, biggest change being the clip extraction, which takes 3-4 seconds.
So basically I could just make my database for everything and have other people use that and they would only require maybe 3-4 second processing time, unless they're using material that isn't in the database.
That test was with something that produced 53 loops, and the video was 1080p. Main bottleneck for the scanning process is ffmpeg decoding.
But I also found out that I can just run multiple instances, have 10 videos decode at the same time to use my CPU at 100% but it has a little overhead it seems, testing 4 videos at 40% CPU usage it took 2 min 23 sec, but that still saves a lot of time.
The clips take 253MB at CRF 0 using ultrafast preset. Can use veryslow for better compression, but takes 11 seconds instead of 3-4 and only drops down to 200MB.
So from 2 min 40 sec to 3-4 sec, I don't think having to recreate the clips is an issue, if you for some reason had to come back to a project at a later date.

Not sure what you mean, the sheet is just tracking whatever people submit. The submission form requires you to include their archive link. So I guess it's tracking editors who upload their source videos to <INSERT FILEHOST NAME>. If you try submitting just a iwara or stream link it won't allow you.

For my script, the mega testing is actually just one part of it. I wrote something that intakes my personal editor list, formats it into a nicer database and also preps it for intaking your google doc list. It can detect changes to the google doc and add those changes whether it's a new or existing editor in my database.
Not difficult to write, just takes a little time.

An entire hmv dedicated to cum vomiting, gargling, and throat fucking set to a rob zombie song thst fit the theme and shut up during the intense parts. Some editors really do just put clips they like to music, with varying levels of giving a shit about whether they're doing things on the beat or not. Some of them give a damn about whether they're doing any buildup, or working with the music's form, and some of them really don't.

I really like SWZBHMV's HMVs like this guy goes out of his way to make the most banger remix/mashups just to make an HMV. And the clips are always synced perfectly. Like what the fuck is the point of HMV if the thing I'm looking at isn't in sync with the music??

Nobody has the hardware to train a full model specifically for HMV editing.
Also AI is not even necessary, just look at the earlier talk me and the other guy had about loops, you could just do something like that and then use some code to sync it up probably.
Sometimes the simple solution is the better solution. AI is great, but sometimes all you need is some simple python code.

If someone made a tag like that for Iwara and Rule34Video, most people would just not bother using it.
What we need instead is a public database/spreadsheet that shows what editors do, not just whether they beat sync or not, but other tags so you can search by tags you like aswell as being able to search source material and songs used.

This is important. Not just the part about people badly implementing the sfx from the hentai to go with the track, but the part about why tools means to isolate sounds or music mess up how things sound.
When you try to sort of isolate specific sounds out of audio, what's really happening is that you're applying a filter to it. The filter targets a certain range of frequencies ans passes the sounds in that range though, while cutting the others out. If the pitch difference is especially drastic, like isolating really high-pitched sounds from the low, then you might be able to separate them with hardly any noticeable side-effects. But music is complicated. Instruments exist in all sorts of places in the range of possible frequencies, and sounds have overtones where they include qualities of related pitches. When you try to pull the vocals out of the music, especially if the relative frequency of these things are close together, then you end up chopping qualities out of the vocals, or failing to fully remove the sounds you wanted to exclude because they're too close together. This creates the "muffling" that the other Anon was referring to; it's the improperly removed parts of the audio you wanted to isolate from.
Some AI tools try to patch over what damage you did, but they aren't all that smart, and they tend to cock it up one way or another. The machine is just guessing, and it doesn't actually understand what it is you want.

Long and short of it, it's probably not worth trying. Whatever you pass the file through will destroy data without accomplishing the goal, and AI tools will not actually do any better because it's like watch someone try to cheat at a task that they don't know how to evaluate the results of.
