For us tourist it's because people won't recognize us so no need for privacy, but it is funny how locals have to cover up theirs especially if they went to the loli section. Actually when I got back to the homestay and need to put them doujins on my luggage I had to go out to the nearest 7-Eleven and bought this to cover them up. Super handy. 1 A4 box could fit 2 tankoubon.
