Can we have a frank discussion about AI generated art and the effects this will have on the future of hentai porn? Initially I was excited about the idea of just being able to mash a button and make my own high quality porn, but the first wave of AI generated hentai was literally slop and it made me question if it could ever be something more than a cheap mildly amusing but unfappable imitation of porn. The galleries would instantly bombed into 1 star oblivion, then nothing more. But recently I noticed more AI art galleries getting decent ratings on sites like moody bear, so I started checking them out and before I knew it I was fapping to it. Now I find myself using the AI tag more often than not and seeing it as a real source of fappable material.

I don't have any qualms about this personally, I always dreamed of tech like this, but seeing how effective it is already is a bit shocking. I'm not really smart or plugged in enough to know all the ways this will change the hentai game, or if I'm just seeing a shift that isn't really there, so I wanted to get some other opinions on this matter. Feel free to post porn to keep this thread in line with the rules.

Imagine how far AI art has come in the last few years. Imagine where it will be in 20 more. Traditional art is dead. There are 2 solutions:

1. A push for "traditional" art where governments and non profits work on preserving artwork to pass culture from one generation to another.
2. People become gatekeepers of AI generated artwork where people make and share AI generated artwork which is disseminated through the population as "this is the best of AI art this month".

We're going to see full length films, full series novels, epic orchestral performances all done on AI completely indistinguishable from what humans can make within our lifetimes. A lot of that will be porn because people enjoy erotic art. The genie cannot be put back into the bottle and people arguing that "AI art is theft" or "AI art is soulless" and so forth are bitter, angry and scared because all despite all the warnings that robots would take everyone's job someday they thought they were immune. They are not immune.

AI art is slop. But it's high quality, fappable, pleasant slop.
The future of art is to do something new that's, at the same time, enjoyable and not just stupid emperor's new clothes. People doing this, even in porn, e.g. new type of absurd monster girl that's hot, new art style (such as the golden age started when the Japs discovered they can paint smell and body warmth), they will become famous and produce real art.
People drawing yet another Mai hentai are going to be replaced by people who are good at prompting, selecting, editing and fixing AI porn. This is thee new remix type low value art. It is still art.
And finally, regular AI porn, one shot prompt porn, etc. will be so overabundant their value will be zero and people will only personally produce new to fap once to an idea.

>AI art is slop. But it's high quality, fappable, pleasant slop.
What makes it slop though? If its effective and high quality, why does a lesser piece of art get the distinction of not being slop just because a human made it? At this point it feels like people just call it slop because it was made by AI, not based on the actual quality of what is being produced. This made more sense when the art bland and couldn't figure out fingers, but that's changing rapidly.

Personally, I never fap to other peoples AI art.
Mainly because it's not exactly to my tastes, so I make my own stuff, which while more sloppy than most high quality stuff in galleries, it's exactly to my tastes.

agree with this. for example some of the obscure characters that underappreciated from a series and most of the artist that even care about how they're depicted isn't up to my preference. it's just giving other options instead of making arts disappear. you have the choice to walk over driving a car to the same destination, for example. does car eliminates the need to walk? nope.

It's a complex situation. As mentioned earlier, we are talking about a technology that is constantly evolving. For me, it will be interesting to see the clash between human creativity and artificial creativity. Currently, I would not buy anything made with AI for professional reasons. An artist has talent because they use their artistic skills, not because they use AI to speed up a generative process out of laziness. And then, who receives my money? The human being or the machine? Who should I thank?
I have no idea how this is impacting the world of hentai, but in the Western world, and especially in 3D comics, I don't like the situation. Take, for example, the website affect3d, which is flooded with authors selling works created with AI: the models look like they're made of plastic and all look the same in terms of expression and shape. The only area where I find AI useful in relation to a work of art is upscaling, because we are now accustomed to high-definition resolution. Even in this field, there is controversy over its use: some people appreciate it and others do not. Personally, if AI upscaling, a technology that is also set to improve over time, manages to keep the original details of the work intact, it can only be an improvement. Is it ethical to sell an upscaled work? In reality, they are already doing this with 4K Blu-rays.

Only just heard about Anima and it is apparently better than IL?

Anyone already using it to gen lewds, it is really better that it worth the change? My priority is at least the characters anatomy and sex positions make sense.

I'm waiting for the time when AI animation could be comparable to actual anime. For now 3D models were still better. (for animated stuff)
