A lot of Greek Catholics are still kinda salty with Rome, or at least with Latin Christianity. A lot of them will still find a way to throw shade at them, but want to be in communion. I've definitely noticed they have an underlying disdain for the Latin Church.

It's all about the moolah baby.
That's why sections of Eastern churches broke up to join the Catholic Church. That's after the Catholic church failed to takeover and Latinize a given Eastern church as a whole.

They cucked to the Catholics for money. Same reason why certain split offs from the Church of the East are in communion with Rome now. Just say yeah sure bro we submit to the Pope, put a few statues around the church, collect the money and continue bitching. Many institutions do this, see Scotland which bitched and moans about England nonstop but always has their palm open for the pounds.

They do change doctrine.
They're no longer Nestorian or Oriental Orthodox or Eastern Orthodox in theology.

The sad thing about Eastern Catholics is that in their compromise, they now belong in neither Catholicism nor Orthodoxy.

Well I don’t really think so but some sections online do it to have an identity apart from Latin Catholicism and due to modern ecumenism to seem like eastern Christians but still opposed to latinism to not seem like cucks to orthodox who attack them and accuse them of being traitors.

I am an eastern catholic myself but this type of pridefulness and nitpicking led to the eastern schisms in the first place for no good reason. The traditional Latin rite and church is equally good as the eastern rites just developed differently in externals and the faith is the same. We shouldn’t care what schismatic churches think
