Today while strolling around with my fr*ends one remarked that a car had been keyed by some and it was a very expensive one at that.
And he said it was because of envy and that envy is bad basicaly.
Why am i to care that some hobo did that to some rich fuck anyway, who cares

I’m thinking envy is bad:
1. to the extent it distorts and hurts the person who feels it
2. if it causes some kind of unpleasant actions
3. if it is misdirected
I notice a lot of anticommunist rhetoric blames the lower classes for feeling “envious” but I don’t really see why they shouldn’t. If they take by force the riches of their masters, that seem fine to me. Now, that being said, the envy of the lower classes for their social betters does have ugly manifestations - slave morality, irrationalism, wanton destruction of beautiful things
