Why were pagans never able to create a collection of hymns, prayers, and songs as beautiful and profound as the Psalms?

I really don't think they were gunning for it. You don't start seeing truly profound extra-biblical writings among the pagans until the age of the philosophers. Homer gets close in spurts for maybe a few dozen lines here and there, but overall it's no contest.

Homer's Greeks led by Alexander the Great the Macedonian general who idolised Achilles were the only ones who actually tried to save the Middle East while all 3 Abrahamic religions have done nothing other than completely destroy it even though it was supposed to be as rich as Italy and Japan it's no coincidence that it's located right between these 2 great fascist nations

Yeah Zeus was gay but that doesn't mean that the people worshipping were also gay! For example you can't consider the billions of people worshipping Jesus as gay they wouldn't die on the cross only gay people can tolerate such embarassing fate for themselves but of course Supreme Leader Khamenei ended up like Nazi German politician Joseph Goebbels he allowed his own daughter to die by fire at exactly the same moment as him

Spartans like Kratos are much better than Zeus and the other Gods they worshipped even Jesus Christ Himself they're strong enough to conquer an entire galaxy quite unlike the Jews who're going to lose their future war in Taiwan! Then Nvidia's technology will be lost and Iran will get them nuked in a way that would make Hitler jealous

Old Testament? I thought it was written in the Babylonian language just like the story of Gilgamesh who pretended to be Hercules

The academic concensus is that the OT (and by that I mean the Masoretic text, cope, seethe, etc.) was written in Hebrew. The books contaned in the septuagint are written in greek, which is why the jews excluded them from the MT.

Is this some sort of intentional false dichotomy? Either you have to side with homosexuality, or the Jewish religion. How about I do neither?
Reminds me of the question: "have you stopped beating your wife?"— answering either way implies you HAVE beat her, either currently or in the past. The very premise itself is a setup.
Pretty much every religion and culture condemned homosexuality— yes, even the Buddhists. Only when faith and morals wane do the fags come out of closet and then we get ridiculous concepts like "men can get pregnant."

"Pagan" is a pejorative term. Like "nigger" is used for black people, "Pagan" is used to disparage any non-JudeoChristian religious tradition. It originally meant something akin to "country dweller" since the Christians were mostly in the cities at the time while the prior religion was practiced more in the country.
So of course "Paganism" isn't a religion. Yes, I know there are idiots trying to change the meaning of the term from a pejorative to a positive thing, something similar to how fags have made "queer" a label they proudly embrace. But it's a mistake to let others define who you are.
There is the Norse religion, Greco-Roman religion, Egyptian religion (Kemetism), and plenty of others out there. All of these are to the Judeocentric perspecyivr "Paganism" but are distinct.

The septuagint was translated from Hebrew to Greek, dumbass. The MT is just the more reliable of the two texts.
Maccabees was written in Greek, though.
>not relevant to Christians
Not relevant to the pagan religion of Papism you mean.

again, irrelevant to Christianity
not to mention you're wrong, and your masoreric theory is built on allusions, not facts
>papism
Christianity is the True Faith. Talmudism is just some satanic bs

>it's ooga booga shit like "sacrifice a goat so the rain god makes rain fall on my crops."
It isn’t, it was a slur used by Christian writers to refer to anyone that wasn’t Jewish or Christian which includes philosophers as well as other religions like Buddhism and Shinto. Just because you try to dumb down the definition so that only the most literal and primitive forms count won’t change the fact that “pagan” intellectuals like Plato and Porphyry of Tyre

LARPagans don't give a fuck about Plato or anything, they fall into essentially two flavors.
>Wiccans who cast protective spells on abortion clinics
>Underage /pol/tards who just want to do a Nazi battle LARP

Those are the only two types of “pagans” that christLARPers can get to engage with them because they’re intellectual peers.
I’ve made the mistake in the past of trying to have higher brow discussions of pagan philosophy on this site and the typical reply I get is
>hurrr Odin drinks cum u r gay lol

Sirach (Ecclesiasticus) was written in Hebrew, the prologue to the Greek version explicitly says it's a translation by the grandson of the original author. I think about half of it survives in Hebrew manuscripts. 1 Maccabees was originally in Hebrew according to Origen, who apparently had access to Hebrew manuscripts of it. Scholars agree that the Greek version looks like translation-Greek. Tobit was originally in Aramaic, and fragments of the Aramaic original are among the Dead Sea Scrolls. Jerome said Judith was in Aramaic which he used for his Latin translation. Psalm 151 looks to be a translation of an amalgamation of two Hebrew psalms which were found in the Dead Sea Scrolls.

I find it weird how in most times of history most people didn't bother percecuting homosexuals.
Then there are weird spots where nobility and others were openly gay it and then suddenly people start killing the gays because some religious leader or king hated gay people.
But average people often just ignored them. It is almost like people didn't care if man working the field was gay or straight as long as they earned their keep.
