Could communism in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe had been saved if they all just did a Tiananmen Square instead of capitulating to liberal college students, CIA agents, and privately owned multinational corporations? i mean Tiananmen Square kind of worked, but its part of why Deng got sidelined overtime for Zemin because of the fallout it caused in regards to sectarianism, Chinese elite weren't thrilled about it and Deng fucked over his loyalty afterwards from them for a while
